im gunn ahave to pretty up my car too now! i rewired the boot so it looks better (still temporary :bunny:) and i wired up the tweeters and mounted them properly... no more drift spec :)

i think im gunna buy some paint and pretty some stuff up while i can :P

thanks doof, i'm the only one allowed to have drift spec applications....

besides, my boot will be finished soon and be prettier than yours...

As for paint and prep etc...

Everything that i've painted in my engine first had a bath in degreaser

then it copped a wash in turps to clean and dry it all...

COVER

- removed the plaque

- sanded the cover

- applied 3 coats of primer

- applied 3 coats of anodized blue

- applied 2 coats of clear gloss

PLAQUE

- washed in degreaser

- washed with turps

- spayed with matt black PLEASE NOTE THE COLOUR OF THE PLAQUE - Its primer not paint!!!!

- applied a few coats of primer

- applied a few coats of clear gloss

PAINT

Primer: Dupli-Color Metalcast Metalic Ground Coat

(reflective base coating)

Paint: Dupli-Color Metalcast Anodized Blue Paint

- "dazzling anodized colour effect over Chrome/ Shiny Surfaces"

- "high gloss"

- "heat resistant"

- "durable"

Paint is pretty much only available from supercheap auto @ roughly $17/ tin

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together 
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it. 
    • It always seems the uglier an animal is the more is costs
    • It's all about the socialisation of the dogs. In that first 8 to 16 weeks of age they need to be taught to be nice and friendly with everything. That way they generalise it to everything. That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
    • I bench bled my HFM BM57 before installing, it leaked badly. Threw it in the bin, because I installed it 2 years after purchase.
