i was testing my amp and speakers .. and it was working fine but messy wiring..

so i unplug everything and wired it all again neatly.. but as soon as i plug in the ground cable, the fuse on the amp blew.

i thought it was because the battery was still connected so i disconnected the negative terminal.. and replace the fuse.

as soon as i plug in the negative on the battery.. fuse blew again.. can anyone help me what i need to do when replacing fuses??? it was working before that ... and now it's just blowing every fuse i chuck in...

lol silly me.. i accidently put the ground cable into the 12v and power into ground...

after the fuse was sorted out.. i get this whirring sound in the speaker.. higher i rev.. sounds gets louder like a whistle..

if i turn my head unit off.. sound goes off.. or if i turn the gain down on the amp.. sound lowers a bit..

does this mean i need a noise filter?

  • 4 weeks later...

its not often chris rogers is wrong... he gets paid to be right  i just do it for fun :domokun:

try swapping cables, you dont have to run them properly through the car, just connect them... if they work, then get new cables, well shielded ones and move the power cable away from your RCA cable...

also, try and get a different amp and test if that fixes it with the normal RCAs... other then that, i got nothin :)

g'luck :)
