Couple of pics after the crash. Got a quote today, at $4500 to fix it, without replacing the bonet. repairing it instead.

Need both new headlights, grille, front bumper, reo, fr guard. may have to get a new intercooler as well. grille was wedged in front of it, but can't see if there is any damage without removing the front bar. not leaking though.

lemme know if you find a place to source the Series II coupe head lights.......Am currently using the the 4 door head lamps, as they were the only ones I found in the rush of moving to Brissy from Melb...... I live in Kenmore, and have no clue about workshops or parts places. But trust me that isn't bad.....source the panel, bar and light....put it in your self.....and any panel shop should be able to colour match that silver, and fix the dent in the bonet.

that way you can save some moneys....if you get an insurance pay out that is....

yeh, hopefully will work out. chatted to the insurance today, and they said to fax them in the quote, as well as my version of how it all happened. so gotta carefully compose the event and word it correctly so i don't get caught out on some technicality. the smash repairer that did the quote had no trouble finding the headlights. first phonecall for used ones, listed at $330 a piece on my quote. i think. quote is at home and i am at work now. can let you know when i get back home on saturday how much it is and where you can find some.

hoping to get the pay out and get a gtr front bar instead. anyways, it's all moving forward slowly, so hopefully should be on the right track early next week.

you think he will pay up think again

if this dude will not admit fault you have a problem (court time )

daughter had smash 4x4 did a u turn in front of her

4x4 put indicator on to turn left pulled over then did u turn in front of her car

he said not my fault and insurance said they can not pay her until he states its his fault but it never was resovled ( 18 months ) he got off scott free he paid his damage and she paid hers ( we had two wittness )

so make shore you get police accident number or you too will end up like this

you can not get anywere with out accident number been there done that

good luck but be pepared to do your own repairs at costs to you.

even if he sticks with his story it could and will take two to three years to get the money off him

sorry to say this

but its a real world out there if you dont want to pay the law say you dont pay but if you say yes i`m at fault well you pay end of subject

i didn't look behind me. just didn't think to look as i wasn't expecting a car to be overtaking all the cars in the traffic jam and on the wrong side of the road......

so really, if it was an emergency vehicle say ambulance, you would of been hit by that :) Im not ahving a go, just seems weird to me never to look

i would have heard the siren. i had a quick glance, but was mainly keeping my eyes on the front of the road because that's where i was expecting traffic to come from.

i do the same when for an example turning left onto a street, i look right for traffic. i give left a glance, do a thorough check of right and go.....

the cops say it is clearly his fault, but i have had fun with insurance companies before, so we shall see.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
