Hey All,

Dunno if this is news to every1 here or not, but to me it is something new.

Turbo Tune in adelaide have just cracked the standard r33 ecu and are offering full retunes for $600!

Mike, (from turbo tune), told me he can tune it to every detail that you can a power FC.

I have heard for years they cannot be touched, but there you go. Stuff buying that PFC now! lol.

let me know if ne1 wants more details.

Thanks, Jack

BTW - I got my dump pipe (from exhaust technology, 3" open mouth) and a catback setup ready to go in. Might try do it this weekend :laughing-smiley-014: Still got $800 left to blow atm, so maybe the front mount? Followed by fuel pump, then a good tune :D

Already have the pod, boost control and pointless blitz BOV. Should be sweet, 7 weeks to recieve licence back, yay! hahaha

Yea its already possible to remap the r33 ecu.

I had mine done last year in Sydney for the new highflow turbo, fmic, fuel pump, etc.

It only cost me $350. It removes the rev limit, speed limit, etc.

When you plan to do it, you should make sure that you get all your mods done first as then you have to pay another $600 for a retune.

The reason I had to go with it is because I have an auto gear box.

If you ever plan on upgrading/changing parts... The R33 tune/edit is not really cost effective (unless they now use daughter boards/re-burn chips etc).

Because as above, once you change one part. You pay out for a full new chip/burn/tune.

Where with (for eg) a PFC, it would be a $100-200 adjustment or so on a dyno. So you can do a lot of development work & part swapping for cheaper over all price in the long term.

the hand controller is so much more appealing than the nissan consult stuff

plus you can change most of the stuff without a laptop or clunky home made software

takes 2 seconds, anyone can do it, lots of tuners can tune them and they hold their

in fact theyve gone up in value recently which is pretty funny
