Heathcote 1/6/2003 :P

if such a situation arises ever again, I just won't hesitate to say "No, screw 'em - we had it booked first".

Well seriously, tell me you wouldn't have expected people (of which own skylines) to come up to your car in the garage to have a look??? Hey, it's totally understandable if you want to keep your project and engine setup totally discreet but a bit of politeness will go a long long way.

To be honest with ya I wasn't there to see what happened but I thought with someone of your calibre should have been a lot more professional with your (or crew member's) actions.

Just coz u guys were having a bad day doesn't mean you should take it out on others.....

Mario, ya might remember me the guy in the yellow jacket near the drag strip when the r33 was parked and the engine over was off, you thought i wanted to get a picture of the engine, just because i had a camera in my hand dosent mean i wanted to take a photo of it. Had my camera in my hand all day long, catching some snaps of the SAU boyZ, and removing the shitty photo and previewing some photo, which was what i was doing before you thought i was a fbi spy to steal your secrets, just wanted a photo of your team near the r33. Glad ya didnt have baseball bats prob would of been smacked so hard would of flown over the 1/4mile in less that 8sec. Can't jump to conclusions so fast.

man i rekon we should get mario + team banned form the forum.. disrespect for the members shows disrespect for the club/forum... people like that who think they are 'superior' should be ****ed over and sent to create their own forum.. see how many members they get.. LMFAO... LAMERS!!!

HAHAHA

every1 knows me, i abuse like a muddafaaker then 2sec later i cant even remeber wot the fool who pissed me of did, cos i indeed do not give a toss about people who r wank3rs, i show respect to people who deserve it, i dont give a fark if u have a 7sec car, 15sec car or a freakin pushbike....

NEXT! :P

yep i stole his 3540 turbos when he wasent wanking over them for a whole 2 seconds. I was gonna sell them but i got more satisfaction burning them :P

Mario u are like the little rich boy who has no friends, and the friends u do have are only there coz u got $$!

U need to give respect to recieve it, i personally mainly came to see your car and rh9 run, but after you and that fat ***s hissy fit, i would stay away if i heard u pricks were running your cars!

Go buy your own farkin track with all that $$ u have then no 1 will bother u ever again!

rant over

oh and maybe u should drive your own car for once :P

:bahaha: :bahaha: :P

Its really a shame that some one wit such a well built car jus doesnt hav an attitude of the same caliber. Most of the SAU guys hav put forward relevant points and discussed them with understandin for both themselves and Mario + crew. If only Mario could take a page out of our books !

hehe

actually testin the air shifter there, but its amazing how poeple can spend in excess of 200k on a car and 9s, and then u can have cars and full street trim pumpin there stereos runnin 10s for 20-60k...just gotta keep a head on things

i 4 1 thought it was mad that some2 of marios callibur had the time and wanted to previously coem on here sith the sau bois...and when u knew we ere comin and still acted the way u did, over nothing, was real disapointing..

also need to rememeber, that u can say u had the track to yourselves etc etc, but without the public there on sunday, u wouldnt have even got on the track due to its condition...and i didnt c u out there doin warm up laps..

u were once where we r now bro, young and havin fun in our nice, fast, street cars...

And as for not wanting us there???

Who would have dryed the track out for you?

Just like you waffle on your own website... and how it was good that we were there???

Didn't see any of your cars out there lending a hand... but then, that's a job for the lowly peasants to do right ?

Your nothing but a hypocritical wanker

PFFT.

Mario:

I understand most of what you are saying and personally didnt have a bad experience with you [or crew]. Heck, I was the guy who offered to lend my gear knob [which was later rejected by the mechanic].

As far as I was concerned I was going to an OPEN meet and paying my fee to have a run. I never knew you guys had booked the track. Perhaps this should have been made known at the gates whence we entered? All reports said it was a test / tune day...oh well

My opinion is that the track owners took our money when it should have been called off due to the rain drenched track. I dont think I will bother with the 350Km round trip in future.

/me wishes he owned a race/drag track...

And just for the record: I believe the *rudeness* experienced by some of us [not me] happened before ANYONE had a run...

Nb. Mario have you got any issues with video footage of your car being online? [hosted by someone else]

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
