Yo-Yo
Hi Guys doe's anyone know which site to go on for directions on taking apart the r34 dash and 3 pod guages as i am installing blue leds in the dash ??????Please any info would be good. Don't know where directions are... but you start by pulling out the ash tray & unscrewing the one screw behind it, you'll need to unclip the cig lighter aswell. Then get a very thin flathead screwdriver & wedge it in between where the air con vents meet the sidewall of the console & VERY gently pry the air con vents out, again unclip the plug for the hazard lights. This should reveal 4 screws, 2 on top & 2 on bottom that holds the air con unit & radio/DIN. To get the 3 pod holder off just unscrew the 2 screws holding it in place & slide the holder out. Hope that helps Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/175756-does-anyone-know/#findComment-3219194 Share on other sites
SMOKE'M
Hi Guys doe's anyone know which site to go on for directions on taking apart the r34 dash and 3 pod guages as i am installing blue leds in the dash ??????Please any info would be good. 1.Remove the ash tray, unscrew the screw behind there 2.flip up the gear stick surrounding(right hand corner, near the hand break)unclip the switch that activates the stearing wheel option) 3.unscrew the screws ethor side of the center consol at the back(on the side)two more at the front( you will see them once you take of the gear stick surrounding 4.unclip the air vents with the hazzard light switch(unclip the switch 5.then to unclip the surrounding to the air con buttons, pull the hot/cold switch off, unscrew the nut behind the hot/cold switch, unclip the surrounding(be very careful the clips break easily,as do the air con buttons)undo 4 screws holding the air con in 6.now two screws holding the tree piece gauge cluster, undo them then remove 7. open the glovebox all the way, undo the two screws holding that in 8.undo the air vents at the side of the dash(just unclip)be very careful as the clips can break easily(from memory the are bolts behind the air vents 9.same as the air vent above(and the other side aswell) 10.section under the stearing wheel, from memory there are about four screws in each corner(the unclip the switchs 11.the smaller peice, which is under/above the stearing wheel(four more screws, then unclip) 12.then the plastic section around the speedo, two screws on up the top,one in the left corner ,hen unclip(four screws holding the speedo in,then remove) 13.middle section were the stereo sits, there's screws some were, cant rember were, but you should be able to see them, then remove it 14.thats about as far as i go, you might get some info on the passenger side airbag before you go any further, you dont want that to go off im,sure someone eles can add the missing sections, but from the you should be able to work the rest out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/175756-does-anyone-know/#findComment-3219231 Share on other sites

Bass Junky
Bloody hell. I simply got a coat hanger, bend a small hook on one end, stuck it through the aircon centre vent and pulled. Out comes the vent. Unscrew the two screws, remove the 3 gauge pod. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/175756-does-anyone-know/#findComment-3220611 Share on other sites
bombtrack
Bloody hell.I simply got a coat hanger, bend a small hook on one end, stuck it through the aircon centre vent and pulled. Out comes the vent. Unscrew the two screws, remove the 3 gauge pod. So it's that easy ? I want to install Sabre guages in the 3 guage bezel to replace the ugly stock ones. Suj
I replaced my stock gauges with 3 autogauge smoke series gauges a few weeks ago. Took me a few hours to get everything done including wiring, wasnt really that difficult if you arent scared to fiddle around with the wiring. I'll try to take some pics of what it looks like and get them up.
