Hello Everyone.. This is hard to word but i hope you get my drift...

I recently bought a Nissan R33 Gtst from a company that imports cars (Will not name company as there may be further action against them)and was told i would get a RWC and all the stuff needed to get the car regoed in Aus ( I have it in writing)

I finally got the car 14 days ago. i look for the RWC i cant find it... So i ring the company, it went straight to message bank. I ring this company for the next 4 days and same thing... So i thought stuff this i will just get the RWC myself.. I took it to the work shop i always use and they said inorder to get a RWC i need new tyres.. So i told them to go ahead and get me a good safe set of new tyres.

So i thought everything was sweet.. I had the RWC/Import Details/Complaince Documents nothing could go wrong..

I go to get the car regoed today..Burwood (well my dad did, I had to work) and i get a call at 9 and he tells me that the tyres are not the same as on the complaince sheet... they neeed to be 225/50/R16 ...I was like wtf where are them tyres then... I ring up the complaince workshop... (It has changed hands in the past 3 weeks) and tell them that they did not put my tyres on... He said he had nothing to do with my car and it would have been the previous owners that would have done my car... (He said he has been gets stacks of phone calls a day about this same problem from this company)

So i had spend all day ringing this import company to get no responce...

So inorder to get my car regoed i need the same tyres as on the compliace sheet which are 225/50/R16... And as my rims on the car at the moment are 18 Inch i will need the whole wheel.

I will learn from this stupid mistake, But i am asking if anyone out there who has these tyres that i need could rent/sell/lend to me i will put a deposit down if needed. I will hopefully make another appointment at Vicroads on Friday 20/7

If you can help sent me a message

Thank you very much

Greg

Man, sounds like you've been fu(ked in the arse. I'd be very interested to know who the workshop is so I can tell people to avoid them. PM me the name if you can.

Regardless of it changing hands you had a contract with them yeah? I'd be going down there and kicking some arse!

PM sent regarding names and other info.

**JaR** I live in Doncaster so if no one is closer i dont mind driving

haha i had a similar story.

my seller used the stock r32 wheels to compliance car but put back the rims which were sold with the car.

Burwood vicroads told me they were the wrong tyres and I had to get them swapped back with the stock r32 wheels.

Shouldnt the workshop have the wheels they used?

I just drove back to my dealer and told them to swap the wheels with the ones they used..

Common thing for burwood vicroads to pick up little things like this. Apparently dandenong vicroads let it slide according to my dealer haha

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
