Hmm basically i dunno at to spend my tax returns on haha, heres my few ideas;

option 1: 100,000km service including

-New Timing Belt Idler & Tension units, Cam Seals & Front Main Seal

-New water pump

-Trust heavy duty timing belt

-Trust adjustable intake & exhaust cams

-Trust clear cam gear cover

(i still have to check if my car has or hasnt already had a major service with belts and stuff)

option 2: kakiregu06r.jpg this *drool*

(i do already have a cat back and full 3" dump pipe but the cat back isnt a cannon its the oval style, and its very quiet + its dinged...and i want Ti :()

option 3: A leatherette retrim (all black) and LED tail lights

option 4: a Defi Link Display so i can have all the info i need without 5 gauges all over the place, including sensors for water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and fuel pressure ( i already have a boost gauge)

option 5: HKS EVC V and a Apexi AFC NEO (wont be able to afford install and tune though haha)

Option 1 would make a lot of sense if i havnt already had one, could even replace the cam gears and cover for something more usefull on the list

option 2 is somethin gi AM going to get in the future anyway, so my reasoning is i might aswell get it while i got bulk cash cos otherwise it will take me a while to save up and i could buy many little things quicker than i could get one big thing

option 3 i think would be the most stand out, people (my friends) would notice this the most, and its even something i would see every time im in the car so i would appreciate it

option 4 is something i want but i suppose it could wait, although if it should probably come before boost controller and AFC so tuners can monitor engine

option 5 is the more power now option haha, i will get round to these things if i dont buy them now, and also if the engine hasnt had the big service it would be better to do that first

but aside from those options theres more stuff i want that maybe you think would make more sense ?? heres a few :)

- oil filter relocation kit

- bosch in tank fuel pump

- HKS fuel pressure regulator (due to misunderstanding i have the adaptor and not the actual FPR so now i need to buy it anyways :))

- Ganador mirrors, just hot !

- front lip for the bumper

- aluminium radiator overflow tank

cheers

I got a decent tax return, but need to save it for insurance next year :( Its going to kill me!

I could just blow it on some coilovers, cooler kit and EBC right now... :)

I guess for your situation i'd go on what you think is the best option as far as your servicing bits. If not, i'd be picking something that i'd get the most enjoyment out of. For me - the EVC and AFC

thanks for the input so far :D

seeing as ive found out i have had a majour service, timing belts +water pump and who knows what else already im leaning towards either a new cat back, maybe not the one pictured, not sure or the interior retrim with LED tail lights and ganador mirrors, i think i will end up going with the latter of those, seeing as its all DIY :)

...but my mind will probably sway :S

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
