Shaking Gear Knob

hi guys!

when i drive my gear knob seems to be moving uo and down.

( i know its common to rattle abit) but it goes up and down when im driving.

eg: when driving u can see it the gear knob moving up and downnot alot but u can see it moving. . .

any problems?

i think it's normal for it to move a little, but if it's moving heaps then it may be something like gear box mounts which often go on skylines.

its a 34 gtt. . .

has the clutch been changed?

maybe someone refitted the g/box cross member without the bushing(s) in place correctly?

they could just be missing or damaged

either way, it's no huge job to fix

i dont think so.. . unless the previous owner didnt tell me but i will ask him. . .

im freaking out cos wat happens when im driving and BAM! the whole gear box falls off the car! hahahahaha. anyways thanks guys!

yeh i second that, get someone to have a good look at it as it could be a number of things.

I have a manual r34 and mine moves a bit too, same as my 32. if anything is stuffed it would be the gearbox mount but if you like you can have a look at mine and see if it the same as yours.
