Hi all

Just after some opinions on decent places to get a wheel alignment..

Would do myself, but my mates machine doesnt fit around my rear wheels as they are in the guards..

So.. where can i go..

tried pedders Phillip... cant get on hoist, because my car is too low, and the front bar will hit.

Went to Inline... and im guessin they do read these forums. but.. i was delt with in a rude manner... and i dont buy that.

Capital steering did my suspesnsion to start with and it had been back a few times to be fixed..

So.. im not tryin to diss anyone, but is there anywhere that do a good job, and can get my car onto the hoist?

Thanx guys.

Inline were rude to you? That's interesting.

Did you speak to Chris?

I think that Discount Tyres in Belco or Gunghalin (Which ever one(s) that Marc with the Stagea works at) was pretty well liked by the people on here. I wouldn't know as my car's always been to Inline.

I couldn't imagine Chris being rude to anyone, he was always very professional when I dealt with him.

Also, Marc doesn't work there anymore just in case anyone gets confused.

Chris, Inline, rude? Strange, although I will say it is run a bit differently to most workshops, but rude?

Im interested to know who you spoke to, cos Chris wouldnt be rude. He has done all of my suspension work and when it comes to wheel alignments, there is no way I would go anywhere else, hes a shit stirrer though.

But I guss not everyone can be happy. And im definately not having a go at you.

he never said it was chris when i last went there was more than one guy working there so maybe he just got a guy in a bad mood ??? either way similar to others i have found chris himself a cool person to deal with but if they gave that sort of service to me i personally wouldnt go back either.... luckily that has not happened

most places should be able to do a wheel alignment no dramas as you mentioned it's just a matter of if your car clears the hoists etc.

ahh ok. The only other person that works there is Carol, but she doesnt know cars at all. If you went there at the start of the year, I think he had someone working there, but im not sure.

Either way, you wouldnt be dissapointed with the outcome.

PS, they dont read the forums.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
