Hi guys we find the limit is combustion pressure related rather than boost. You can destroy an RB25's standard internals at 1 bar with 500 bhp much easier than you can at 1.5 bar and 400 bhp. Boost is pretty much irrelevant.

Stick to less than 45 lbs of air per minute and you are pretty safe on a well tuned engine. I have seen badly tuned engines kill themsleves at way less than that.

because of a higher airflow with a bigger turbo... which makes the PSI irrelevant as SydneyKid has stated.

It's about how much air you can get in there, not the level of PSI
