Hi guys,

I'm selling my Tein RA coil overs to suit BNR32 GTR. They are in top condition, no bends, damage, rust, leaking anything. Spring rates are 10K front and rear.

RA is teins top of the line shock without going remote canister. These feature an all alloy shock body, mono tube shocks with large pistons and 16 level damper adjustment, full length height adjustment and compatible with EDFC. these are currently used by many of the top street/circuit GTRs in both Aus and Japan. I know a few of the quickest GTRs in VIC are using these.

Here is what Tein say about them:

TEIN Type RA has been designed for advanced circuit racing and street use for experienced drivers.

It incorporates a newly designed mono-tube structure, which allows for maximum road handling and driving stability for all type of situations.

This product has been developed from a huge background of TEIN motor sports activities (such as the World Rally Championship,

N1 and endurance racing).

* Mono-tube design for maximum performance.

* Constructed of A7050 aluminum for lightweight (on certain applications).

* Strut type suspension has an inverted steel shock absorber for durability.

* 16 levels of damping force adjustment (compression and rebound together).

* Ride height adjustable.

* Exclusive designed pillow ball upper mount for optimize performance.

* Available for overhaul.

I'm asking $2100 + freight (about $40 to most areas of aus) and pickup is available in sydney, chatswood.

I only have one pic at work, but will take and post some more later. I was going to use these for my GTR but I'm now going to persevere with the set-up I have (nismo/ohlins) and I need some money, no point having mega dollar shocks sitting in my laundry. I can also supply with them a brand new Tein EDFC mark 2 (black instead of the old silver, and with faster acting, yet lighter motors) for an extra $420.

PICS BELOW

I have been slack buy I'll take more pics tonight. if I can't get good money for them I'll use them and flog my ohlins instead. :)

just pulled them out of the cupboard. I'd forgotten this from when I bought them but the front are BRAND NEW shocks and the rears only fairly limited use. so price stays firm. I took some pics last night and will upload later.

like I said, the front shocks are brand new, the only time they've even been near a car is when they were in the boot!

ok, drop the price to $2000. very cheap for top shelf alloy body, mono tube coil-overs.

the previous owner says 1 year, 5,000kms but I don't know for sure. they are not rusty, or leaking, or bent. a couple of the threads are damaged a bit but it's way up near the top where you would never have the spring seats, I have NFI how they got like that. you can see both the fronts and rears in the pics and should be able to judge condition fairly well from that. the rears have the fork on the bottom, fronts have the eye. :rolleyes: hth.

these look very good for the price.....

Have any of you guys seen the suspension set up on a p4/5 pininfarina??? They look so sexy!!!!!!!!! ooooooooooooooogggggghhhhhhhhh thinking of it now!!!!!!!!

thanks for the kinds words, but not more posts please. this isn't a suspension discussion thread, just me trying to sell my Tein RAs thread. :woot:

man these are harder to shift than a kidney stone! I'll now accept $1800.

I really can't go lower than that. Otherwise I'd rather just hang on to them as a spare set for the GTR. :laugh:

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
