G'day guys, just seeking some help in regard to my exhaust and intercooler. Who knows places that can fix this because the people I have spoken to so far say that fixing the intercooler may result in a leak and fixing the exhaust is too hard because the tip is so big. Anyway I would greatly appreciate any direction in where to go to get this fixed. Cheers

well mate they right about the cooler. cos its been compressed, straightening it back out might coz stress fractures and thus leaks. plus they probably gonna charge you like $50-$100 to fiz it. ATM there is a sale on until sunday at Autobarn, they got hybrid cooler cores ready to bolt in to replaced damaged ones for $199 brand new. thats til sunday. or greddy core for $299.

check it out:

with regards to the exhaust, well if your talking about the damage to the muffler tip, just get an angle grinder and cut the tip right off and just leave 5mm at the end. then go to an exhaust place and ge them to weld on a piece of stainless steel pipe to replace the tip, tig weld it ofcourse. this will eliminate the damage to teh tip but the damage to the body will be harder to fix. that damage i wouldnt worry about coz it doesnt affect performance just a lil cosmetic thing. this will probably cost like $60-$70 or so. 30min job for them.

if u wanna be picky with the cosmetic stuff and want a perfect muffler, buy a new 1. again probablt like 150-200 tops for qa reasonable 1 or look in teh for sale section might get 1 for less than $100.

That slight deviation on the cooler wont pose a problem.

Just leave it as is. I've got a number of buckled fins on mine etc etc, ran out over 350rwkw in the past, so it'll be fine.

The dint in the muffler isnt worth fixing cost vs gain. Simple as that.

The tip *maybe*. You'd need to cut the tip 3/4 the way down, and re-weld another end piece onto it.

You'd need a GOOD welder otherwise it's going to look shithouse.

Probably cheaper to get another muffler, and weld that on and cut the crap one out costing wise

As you have probably worked out the top and bottom plates on the cooler do not even carry air so why bother touching it at all?

That exhaust tip should only take a few careful taps with the right tools to be looking acceptable again. If you decide you are going to get someone to chop it off and weld a new one on you may as well take to it with a hammer in case you find you can actually fix it yourself!

As others have said, dont worry about the cooler, mines got a similar battle scar.

With the exhaust, take it to an exhaust shop and get them to re-roll the tip, shouldnt cost you much, if anything depending on the genorisoty of the owner/employee.

Manifold: 6 Boost RB26/30 twin scroll manifold  e-MAP ports drilled into both scrolls(I was using the TAARKS EMAP KIT) Turbo is in excellent condition. Always used Penrite 15w50 Racing oil(Changed less then 2000ks). Also using the Turbosmart OP regulator and filter. Downpipe: 4inch Stainless steel with VBand inlet and outlet clamps(included) Heat wrapped Dual ports for Dyno/Wideband usage Will throw in free 2.5 inch intercooler pipe(2.5inch From turbo outlet to 3.5 inch intercooler) - Powder coated black. Turbo made 563rwkw on mainline hub dyno at around 24-25psi boost - Pump fuel. Will def make over 600kw on e85. Didn't bother as my e-MAP was through the roof with my setup sitting past the choke line. I have a cnc ported and fully built head on my 3.2. Turbine speed saw max of around 109k rpm. I'm running this on my R32 GTR, with AC, and the original power steering pump. The manifold clears the AC lines, ABS, and everything else. Although I had new AC lines because I just wanted new ones and I heat wrapped them as well. This will make more power on a slightly lower capacity motor with a higher PR. And I have since upgraded to a G45-1500. Have pics and videos if need be.  Absolutely nothing wrong with setup. Turbo is in perfect condition. No shaft play or oil leaks at all. All the work was professionally done. The transient response of this is fkn amazing. I cannot rave more about this turbo. If I wasn't chasing 4 figures, I would have kept it. $5000 NZ.
