I Carnt Get My Gearbox Off

I have taken out all the bolts for the gearbox and the box is loose but the top of the bell houseing is cort on the frame i have been told to rotate the gear box 45 degrees but it seems to still get stuck, any ideas i am stuck?

yeah you need to rotate it so the starter motor housing clears the chasis, and also lower the rear a little more than the front it will come out.

If that doesn't work, try taking it out to dinner first. That sometimes loosens them up.

Hi mate, I just took my gearbox out and had the same problem. Obviously to support the engine in position, I had a jack under it and I just had to lower the engine down a bit so it changed the angle a bit, the box them just shuffled right on out...

I'm more worried about getting the bugger back in!! I've done it once before and it's a real pain...

i wonder if he unclipped the clutch bearing??

This would only apply to an R32 series 2 - 3 GTR, R33 GTR or R34 GTT

His details say R33 GTST and the bearing doesn't need to be 'unclipped' in this case
