Whining/spinning Noise

Hey there

well ive got an 95 NA r33 series 2 skyline..

i have a problem ive searched around and havent found any1 with the same problem as me

im guessing its the gearbox or clutch on the way out lol..

well it doesnt happen all the time

sometimes after i havent driven my car for a bit, when i press my clutch in and put it in gear

it makes this awful whining/spinning noise..

but when i take it out of gear and let the clutch out the noise stops

then say ill take off quickly with the noise it will stop when i get above say 1500-2000 rpm

then when i change into 2nd and 3rd etc it will make the noise a lil bit again but only for a split second

i dunno wat the problem is but im hoping its nothing too major/expensive i always have bad luck with expensive things breaking, lol.

any1 can help me??

Sounds as though your thrust bearing is gooooone...not overly expensive to fix

i have the same sorta noise on my auto r33.

sometimes it doesnt do it, others it makes a whirring kinda sound that you can only hear from the drivers side.

does it mostly when overdrive is off.

is it normal or is something wrong?
