Hi guys Im after some help,

On the weekend I changed over my turbo, due to blowing my old one, Now when I started it up and let it run for a while white smoke (steam) was coming from the turbo/manifold area, also on my Power FC water temp rose to 112 degrees. Now when that happened I thought oh needs some coolant so I put some in and some water and again let it go and well same thing.

Now my question is what do you think it is? I have done some searching and Im thinking thermostat, and definatly a radiator flush, If any one could enlighten me on the situation it would be much appreciated.

Thanks Damon

All copper washers to the banjos installed?

You need one on either side of each banjo, and obviously everything should be nicely firmed up. There is plenty of opportunity for leaks unless you double check everything. 30 mins with a spanner should see everything sorted by the sounds of things.

leaking coolant line to new turbo?

Thanks mate will check

Actually you could be right I might have missed a few of the banjo washers, will have to check over it anyway, thanks.

You will see a 10mm bolt at the front of your plenum. If you remove this and start your car coolant will shoot out of it,this is how you bleed your system properly.Once there is no air pockets coming out of it turn you car off and screw in the bolt.

Done.No more overheating.

Going to check my washers first then bleed the system, thanks champ

heh, one late night when I finally got my car on the road, I forgot to bleed the coolant system, car skyrocketed to 95 degrees. After a bleed, won't go any higher than 75 degree now. lol.

dont forget to turn your heater on full blast on the hottest setting.

only start bleeding when the cars at around full operating temp otherwise air wont get pushed out. you need pressure in the system for it to work properly.

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
