Mate this is the most appealing R32 Iv'e ever seen. What a freaken awesome care dude. I'm seriously thinking about going into crash action and selling everything I own for this beast.

Question! (maybe self explanatory however)

Obviously a major weapon on the track and strip but how does she go on the road? What I mean is can you take this puppy for a cruise?

I was pretty keen on a 33 GTR but my mind has been changed I think. lol

mate the car can be cruised and i do enjoy it when i get the time with the street exhaust its quiet and have never had the cops pull me over to defect me upon seeing the car . obviously it drinks a bit more fuel than a stock car but hey thats the compromise for 400kw at your disposal. all in all i have built the car to be an all rounder that unfortunately i don't get much time to drive her anymore.

also like to throw in that i ate up and spat out a ferrari 598 marrenello on the weekend it was a nice sight to se him eat my richness from the zorstttt:P

haha my brother did this in my car one night, the silly Ferrari driver asked how much i paid, only to be heart broken haha.

good luck with the sale :P

Dude, the market atm is shithouse, don't sell up - I just spent $6000 on my skyline (servicing, replacing parts, mods) and I sure as hell want to get every bit of my money back via enjoyment of the ride

IMO, either leave it as is and enjoy it as a weekend cruiser OR keep doing it up to make it a monster on roids

Just my two cents :D

P.S my mate just bought a V35 and within 2 weeks he wants to sell it - very boring car in his opinion :D I would pass him onto you but he is restricted and can't drive turbos

Michael

thanks Michael

At the end of the day im not desperate to sell !! but its kind of a waste sitting there when someone else could be enjoying it .

also where do you draw the line on modifications??? when you have other commitments its not an easy thing to always pump cash into hobby's like the gtr . I got it to the reasonable $$$ stage with out spending mega bucks ,so really for me id like to get into some thing that suits my life style more ... i think im getting old .. lol but shit if it sells i will sure miss it and im defenate to build another one down the track bigger and better ....

And that would be me,

to be honest not in the market for a trade (especially considering i cant drive the car).

But if you interested in looking:

    • I'm actually not sure - I think it was "Stealth Performance" (It really is near impossible to find a FEMALE 1/8BSPT to 1/8NPT male at ALL) but having the thing leveraged on a 90 degree angle on a small aluminium fitting is not too smart. Also in not too smart, I've drilled out the center of the broken fitting so there's maybe 0.00001mm of thread to bite into, so yeah. I may have to get it drilled/tapped/plugged entirely. Given I could conceivably tap a thread/adapter/pressure line in any point in the oil system I suppose it's feasible to run a line to the Nissan Sensor to keep the dash working. Do these exist in AN fittings and the like? Like an AN fitting that has a NPT (or other?) thread as well for putting a sensor in?
    • I would agree.  There will be an amount of boost you could run safely with an otherwise factory system, but it would be low enough to not be worth the cost.  And if you are reliving your 20s, you know a 'little bit' was never enough. Personally, if I didn't want to spend the money, then stick with NA bolt-ons, and maybe a tune.
    • Fuark, at least the motor survived. What brand was the fitting that snapped?
    • Wrong question. There's no point in spending the rather large sum of cash and effort to add turbo, without taking it to the "sensible" limit of the motor itself. If you have to upgrade injectors, etc, then so be it. That is a tiny fraction of what it will cost you to turbo it.
    • Measure voltage at the starter solenoid terminal when the key is at start and it has clicked. If it is really low, then the suspicion falls on the ignition switch (contacts or wiring thereof) as causing a voltage drop instead of sending enough volts to throw the solenoid all the way to engage the starter itself. If it is a decent voltage, then the suspicion is on the solenoid. Might have s horted coil, or might hva dirty contacts. Rip the starter off, dismantle, clean up contacts and inspect winding. It might not be possible to see if there is a short in the winding though. I have a spare starter here that I could measure the resistance of the coil, as a guide to about what it should be, if you need a comparison. <parts hoarder>No you cannot have it.</parts hoarder>
