There's a 12.2 waiting to be had on street tyres if you get the launch right! Well done.

It was so not easy hey, who ever drag racing is easy is wrong well with power it is really hard especially with street tyres.

anyways it was my frist time down there! practice makes perfect i would say!

12.2 would be very very nice hehe

first time i ever been down to the drags and i entered my 33 GTST in...

she's running an average 283hp @ 13psi...

guess what i got on my first run????

15.1!!!!!! LOL, with a reaction time of 1.03 seconds, lol. I had no clue what i was doing and had no clue the yellow lights dumped down so quickly. I panicked and just slammed the clutch and since i didnt dry my tires (there only street ones so i thought it wouldnt be that much difference) i lost all of first in about half a second so i slammed it in second and i already lost a good second out of my time... OUCH

second run i did still an average of 14.3 and since i saw a few races before i ran the second time, i got to tell when to start releasing the clutch so i got a reaction time of 0.04 seconds.

i only ran twice coz i got there in peak hour where is took an hour to get scrutenised then the long wait for the turbo's to go through.

but yer, definantly will go next week and have another crack at it

good work on the 14.3, my door went faster on your car than mine, hahah

300rwhp and all i managed was a 15.1 (albeit the turbo had a VERY blown seal at that stage...)

edit: also ryan, your car wont be stock boost if you have fmic, exhaust, pod, etc.. that all raises the boost regardless of if you have a controller or not.

you're probably running about 10psi.

HEY MITCH!!!!

um i heard if ur stock boost wif a FMIC, u run lower boost... or same but u got more pipe to fill =/

i dunno

:) i am expecting mid 13's in my 268hp Line!! goes HARD

lol, hi gary.

FMIC might be the case, but the exhaust usually pushes the boost up.

my car used to run 10psi with 450x250x60 fmic, pod, and exhaust, with no controller/bleed valve/etc. at all

mid/low 13's is pretty achievable in a R33 with the usual mods, you just need to work on your launches. my first (and subsequently last launch of the night, and the car) resulted in wheel spin all the way through first and second gear.

:nyaanyaa:

the stock fmic is increadibly restrictive

you will run a bit more boost when its removed for a proper one

managed a 13.700 with dead stock car except exhaust on 19" rims.....

now i run a 13 flat with exhaust, fmic, boost 11psi.....oh and an old set of nittos....

its all in the launch.....aim for below 2.2 street tyres and below 2 with drag radials....

anyone want to buy a set of used drag radials that have a few meets left in them PM me....i just bought a gtr and wont be needing them anymore....

Im still yet to take my r32 down but judging by u guys i should easily do a low 14. ive just got a 3in De-cat exhaust with 600x300x75fmic and im running 13psi. do u reckon very high 13's are possible with the right launch?

took my car first time ever i went there, 1st run 14.8 2nd run 14.099 third run 15.2 <--- couldnt get into third 3rd, my main problem was traction in 1st and second, and runnin wierd boost from .3 bar to infinite so car was runnin r+r depending on gear running actuator ONLY lol, once i get car to run 12psi again i might have half a chance to get into the 13s

    • They are in fact just nozzles. They are there only to produce a spray pattern and limit flow. The injector itself is what I use to control flow to the 7x nozzles. My old system had no injector and only PWM the pump. This lead to a lot of inconsistencies, and poor atomization at low pressure when the pump was ramping up.
    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
