Well ive finally stopped driving it long enough to take some pics.... and after having it just over a week now im totally in love... i never knew a car could be so good out of the factory....

as one of my mates put it, this car is over engineered! it hits full boost by 1800rpm, no need for a hard launch, it does 0-100 in 5.5, even less with a chip... the recaros are beautiful, soo comfortable, havent been sore or restless at all, the standard bose sound system is great, the car handles so well i cant think quick enough to keep up with it yet, so throwable into corners, tad of understeer then hard on the gas and the car just sticks and pulls... the dash is soo nice to look at, white on red... just beautiful!

can throw 5 people in the car, still be comfortable, and the car still feels bolted to the road, safe, secure, and farken quick...

ill get it chipped shortly, as the chip improves the performance so much its like bolting a highflow into a stock rb25... just mental!

ill tint it, maybe a subtle exhaust for better breathing, chip, and just polish the body back up to immaculate..

really i couldnt be happier, ive had my fun in the skyline, ill get one to drift in a couple of years... and ill still float around here...

now for the pics!

Always loved Audis ever since my mate threw one around a long ass corner and the thing just stuck... scared the shit out of me! I thought we would either tip, roll, or slide... but nothing... she stuck... and there were like 4 people on the car too :)

He used to own a skyline too... hmmm... a pattern perhaps...

Yawn- its a 2000, one Doctor owner, highway kms, crazy service history... ive seen them from 30k to 65k depending on colour + kms.. they were around 130ish new, direct competitor to an M3

Sanger - i used to have an audi 90 before the skyline, i just dont have time for tinkering under the bonnet of the skyline anymore, it was getting old and i was just getting over it i guess... couldnt modify much more without going nuts.. this car dosent attract unwanted attention, is beautiful to be in, drive and look at.. ive got my motorbike for hooning now :)

Doof, thats what i experience, just masses and masses of grip, in the wet i just drive it as hard, no wheel spin, feels like im driving it on dry road (untill i turn traction off and get some massive oversteer driftooo!) so comfortable and quick, its made for 200kmh all day autobahn stuff

mass - ill come down a bit later mate gotta sort some dinner out, u can drive mine ill drive urs :(

An audi rs4 wagon is my dream car performance and practicality so i can understand completely!!!!! My damn r32 really needs a ski port or something.... every time i put my surfboard in my girlfriend gets religated to the back seat which she hates!!!!!!

never had the pleasure of driving a performance audi but if its anything like my mates m3 im sure it goes like s$%t off a shovel!!!!

ok madd.... except for the driving part :)

Nice one Ed! The interior shots look exactly the same as my old man's 1.8T, except his Recaros aren't as hardcore as the ones in the S4. Still got black leather though, with electric lumbar support.

I tried to push him to get the quattro with the extra 22kW and six-speeder, but he settled for a Tiptronic in "Agate Grey" - he reckons he's too much of an old man to bother with a manual box anymore.

The ride is bloody stiff at low speeds though, unless you've got a load in the car to take away the initial hardness. Once you're doing 60km/h or more it's alright though.

Punctuation my friend...

It's the difference between:

1. I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.

and

2. I had to help my uncle jack, off a horse.

    • Ok I get you. But isn’t the butterfly intake a headache with the +T?  see this is my plan so far but please advise me into the right direction.  Nistune Ecu, 1000cc Bosch injectors, TD05 or TD06 Kinugawa turbo using stock rb25det exhuast manifold, walbro fuel pump unsure of model I think it’s 450/460, spitfire coils and sparks to suit and a R35 MAF sensor and boost sensor.    I was thinking maybe do a cheap eBay plenum $400-500 or try find a stock det neo intake. I think I’d port match it so it’s getting the full capacity but open to advice please.  Thanks
    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
