you would think that wouldnt you? i mean he would have known that it was heavily modified, and that getting it passed in another state without taking it back to stock would be very very hard and of course time consuming.

Yeah Luke you'd think so. I can't understand why such a HUGE price difference as really it didn't take Dan to long to sell his (compared to other people **cough Andrews S15 cough**) oh well each to their own

got to love the top gear boys

in the recent Britcar 24 hour they organized the most awkward sponsors they could and "conveniently" placed them on the car (especially when the doors are opened)

the sponsors are

LARSON BISCUITS

PENISTON OILS

Might (hopefullyyyy - fingers crossed!) have a R31 in a couple of days  omg...summer thrashing...40degree engine swaps :O

Im excited as if though im buying my frist car lol. Hell getting the bucket seats, tacho, steering wheel and all the other F&F shiz happening with this 1 lol.

Nah he doesn't own any cars always driven someone elses. At the moment he may be driving the car for the new owner (why wouldn't you want him he's won 5 out of 6 races in it) I'm still heading over as i have other business to do over there and people to see

Good luck with the F3 team, great to see another SA team out there. BRM are changing to F3 next year with Percat driving

Yeh we speak with Nick all the time, we saw him testing the F3 out at Mallala! But we heard a roumer he was going over to Europe, which wouldn't surprise us, He is a talent and always was when we raced Go Karts with him. So people watch out for a kid named Nick Percat, He will prob be the next big thing to come out of Australia to race open wheelers! and if that doesn't work for him im sure he'd find a seat in a V8 supercar pretty easy!!

yeah, the poor old bat copped a piece of my mind about the elderly driving.

if she cant see my brick of a car in her rear view, nor hear my horn right next to her ear, then she shouldnt be on the road.

my cars still mostly in one piece, its copped a whole lot worse over the years, but insurance will probably slap economical write off on it. spose time will tell.

I also got hit by an 81 year old lady in a Datsun 1600 on Diagonal Road, Glenelg.

Problem was, I was on 2 wheels and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks......ouch!

Did you ask for her 1600?? an 81yo driving a 1600, there the types you want to pull over and ask if you can buy the car cos they are in mint original condish!! Apart from that mate i hope you wern't on your bike you have now!!

I heard through a mate that Nick was heading over to the Formula Ford Festival with TWR (back when he was driving with them)

    • So I'll put filler past the repair area a bit to make sure I don't miss anything. Then I'll block it until it's almost level, put the guidecoat, then keep blocking until it's gone. Then it's still wavy.  In regards to hitting the panel, I saw this video might give more context - Skip to 0:47 he knocks it down. But yeah I'm sanding until the guidecoat is gone then checking because otherwise my filler is still well above the bodyline. Unless what you're saying is I should put guidecoat around it early, surrounding the filler then stip once it's gone?
    • I refreshed the OEM injectors with the kit and connected it up. It now ideals okay even with the IACV removed. Driving still has the same cutoff issue like the 550cc injectors so the issue is somewhere else. I bought FPG's Fuel Pump Hanger. I will be installing it next, but it is not as straightforward as I thought it was with my limited wiring knowledge and no instruction on the specific model I purchased (FPG-089). I also got the incorrect billet clamp as I could not find info on the OEM sizing.
    • Stop looking at the garage floor, and turn the radio up a bit louder if there's any strange noises...
    • No. Turbo shuffle and surge/flutter are not the same thing. Specifically, on a GTR, turbo shuffle has a definite meaning. On a GTR, the twin turbos are assumed to be the same thing and to operate the same way, exactly. In reality, they do not. Their exhaust sides are fed and exhaust a little differently, to each other. Their inlet sides are fed and exhausted a little differently, to each other. Consequently, when they are "working" they are often at slightly different points on the compressor map compared to each other. What this means, particularly when coming on boost, is that one of them will spool up and start producing extra flow compared to the other, which will put back pressure on that other compressor, which will push the operating point on that other compressor up (vertically). This will generally result in it bumping up against the surge line on the map, but even if it doesn't, it upsets the compressor and you get this surging shuffle back and forth between them That is "turbo shuffle" on a GTR. It is related to other flutter effects heard on other turbo systems, but it is a particular feature of the somewhat crappy outlet piping arrangement on RB26s. There are plenty of mods that have been attempted with varying levels of success. People have ground out and/or welded more material into the twin turbo pipe to try to prevent it. Extending the divider inside it works, removing material doesn't. There are aftermarket replacement twin turbo pipes available, and these exist pretty mush purely because of this shuffle problem.
    • You can temporarily* use lock collars to keep it in place until you can do the bushes, back the nuts off, slide them in, snug back up. *temporarily is often for ever
