should of heard my neighbours friends car

old school VH HDT Brocky i went over to tell him he left a car on the streets lights on now this was way up there driveway just idling in the drive way, so as im heading up i hear this loud as like compressor noise told him about the lights and walked away realising it was his fuel pump, i mean this thing would wake the dead got back to my house and over the idle of the car could still hear the fuel pump from about 80m away

    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
