Very productive day again today! Water pump, belts, coilovers, coilpacks, and more importantly, MY COOLER! The fan hits the crossover pipe and ticks like a clock on speed, we didnt have enough time or tools to properly cut all the shit out of the front bar, so it sits 2cm forward and relies on 5 cable ties for support, but i love it.

Yeah we are going to finish it all off next weekend, i dont drive it during the week anyway so it will be fine until then. Kellie earthed my boost solenoid too, couple more pounds, pulls so much harder through 2nd and 3rd now!

hey damien, did you earth it via a switch or did you just earth it so its constant?

interested in doing this boost solenoid trick

was the difference noticeable?

Hey Pete,

My mate had one in his s15. Setting them up takes awhile but once all set they work like a dream.

Other option i would be looking at would be a profec B.

Thanks for the reply Luke.....I already bought it cause I was told it was the best on the market (definitely the dearest).

I didn't realize there were so many features to setup......I suppose your mate set it up himself so at some stage I'll sit down with the instructions & have a go.

On the matter of belts, waterpump & gears, we may have to have a chat about your rates sometime Ryan.......I've got a workshop full of gear but no time to scratch myself lately.

someone sell me there rb25det series 2 engine pack for like real cheap :)

Ha. I could sell you one, but it comes with a Stagea. Not cheap ;)

I WANT RB25!! had my first drive in one today! so jelous!

Hmm, I recall you and Min came for a spin in the Stagea not long ago! :D

:D

Anyone know the name and number of the shop on henley beach road that sells work safty gear? Iv been searching for it but i cant remeber he name of the place, i need new work clothes and boots

I reckon you're talking about 'Yakka Aust Menswear' corner of Henley Beach Rd & Clifford St, Torrensville.

Also try 'Aust Safety Specialists' 16a Ashwin Pde, Torrensvile (just up the end of Clifford Street)

I'll ask my brother about it, cause im sure he wired it all up. he might be willing to help wire yours up or give you some info. I'll ask him and let you know.

edit: spoke to my brother about it. Wiring it up isnt that hard its just setting it up. You basically have to do street driving to get it set up correctly. Its awesome for holding boost, whatever level you set it at it will hold it, but when it comes time to up it more it can be a pain. If you want it at one level i would suggest leaving it at that.

I've got it all wired up Luke but it just needs all the parameters set up properly otherwise a setting for 10psi can boost as high as 18psi if not configured correctly

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
