he had every thing but a g clamp, to open the calliper.....

im just gonna send it to abs, let them deal with it.......

hopefully they can find another line for it.........

Edited by craig R33

hahahaa cheers for pm

Craig ABS make the lines up them selves so shouldn't be too hard

edit

when are you going to have your front wheels off again i would like to see the line assembly and stuff as i brought a braided line kit and it isnt right for my setup

Craig, installing rotors and pads are a peice of piss, if a first year mechanic can't do it I think he needs to re-evaluate his chosen profession cos he's obviously f**king useless...

Steve, when we get a moment, if those lines do fit my R, I'll take em off your hands. That still leaves us with the problem of sorting yours out however  I guess if worse comes to worse we can take pics of yours and send them away to the group buy bloke then he can sort it out, sound good?

yeah Luke the GB bloke gave me the email to BrakeWest and they have already replied i was a little too late to send pictures off

ive been thinking that maybe my front lines aren't 100% turbo spec. but that doesnt discount that the rears don't fit also hence asking when Craig will have his wheel off next to have a look at his lines and cross-reference with mine

Needing to get both headlights and high beams, I know the best for headlights is 6000 thanx to steve but wondering what to get for the high beams and were??? Help please I'm having to drive around at night with some dodgy ass high's as normal 1 blew

a guy @ my work has these and they look pretty good im going to get a pair for my high beams and get the relay trick done

    • I'm actually not sure - I think it was "Stealth Performance" (It really is near impossible to find a FEMALE 1/8BSPT to 1/8NPT male at ALL) but having the thing leveraged on a 90 degree angle on a small aluminium fitting is not too smart. Also in not too smart, I've drilled out the center of the broken fitting so there's maybe 0.00001mm of thread to bite into, so yeah. I may have to get it drilled/tapped/plugged entirely. Given I could conceivably tap a thread/adapter/pressure line in any point in the oil system I suppose it's feasible to run a line to the Nissan Sensor to keep the dash working. Do these exist in AN fittings and the like? Like an AN fitting that has a NPT (or other?) thread as well for putting a sensor in?
    • I would agree.  There will be an amount of boost you could run safely with an otherwise factory system, but it would be low enough to not be worth the cost.  And if you are reliving your 20s, you know a 'little bit' was never enough. Personally, if I didn't want to spend the money, then stick with NA bolt-ons, and maybe a tune.
    • Fuark, at least the motor survived. What brand was the fitting that snapped?
    • Wrong question. There's no point in spending the rather large sum of cash and effort to add turbo, without taking it to the "sensible" limit of the motor itself. If you have to upgrade injectors, etc, then so be it. That is a tiny fraction of what it will cost you to turbo it.
