hows this hyundai wanted $234.34 for an injector for a 2000 hyundai accent, stanvac auto wreckers will give me one for $30 lol. now i just have to put it in haha.

I paid $330 for a genuine GTR injector from Japan! I needed 6! Ended up costing me like $2200...

I could have bought a Hyundai Excel for that haha

totally.... u can get sard 800cc's for $900 or something on the GB section... crikey

-D

Haha yeah I know, my mechanic told me that he could get a full set for that + a tune! But I need a ECU which isn't on the cards at the moment.

But it really is the going price for the genuine injectors. I rang up Nissan, and they told me $360 each. Apparently the GTR injectors are becoming more sought-after now due to the fact that most of the older model GTR's injectors are begining to leak.

But, 6 new injectors later, the GTR's running alot better and no more fuel smell!

Crickey you can get sard 800's for a little over 600 your all getting ripped off

and go see a new mechanic because someone like Jeff from the speed lab could of remaped your standard ecu and you still had change for a beer from $900

hahaha google street photo taken when my car is not home  though i did want to see it

Yeah I checked my house first and there wasn't any cars home, so I did the following:

lol k i checked my house my old work and my new work and my mates house and its not there ether...haha im checking the x's house now lol, seriously tho where the hell was i on this day!

:ermm:

Yeah, lobethal was done around the time we had that heat wave, and some parts of Nairne were done at a later/earlier time in the year, as it's all cloudy and shit in the pics (the loby pics are fkn sunny as, with dead grass every where :P)

Sard injectos and an ecu remap for $1000 you say? Not bad. Think its the actual injector leaking, not because of the o ring... Can actually see fuel running out :S not much, but enough.

That's exactly the issue I had. Shaun was saying how alot of the 32 GTR's are doing this now with the stock injectors. I had 2 leaking, though and the others were on their way to that point.

You get a bad fuel smell, too. Everywhere I took it, people would say "you've been giving this one a flogging!! I can smell the fuel still!" haha

    • I mean I agree. I've seemingly never had issues and I have RS4's in the rain, but I drive pretty slow in the rain, and I commute around on the street and pretty much never push it. But it's not like you're going to uncontrollably slide off the street with them in the rain. At least here in Aus. And I say this before I drive to Tassie in Winter. AS above, the term "Semi" is a bit of a misnomer. The ContiSportContact7 is also a "Semi" or a "UHP" tyre. It's the same category as an AD09 in any case.
    • These are not semis. None of the tyres in that comparo are semis. They are UHP tyres. Perfectly streetable. I'm on my second set of AD09, after using a couple of sets of AD08R. On the street. Every day. I get 15-20 thousand km out of them, which is perfectly acceptable. They are a really nice tyre to drive on. I have few, if any, complaints.
    • You'd hope, if it came from ACS, that it wouldn't be that.
    • Or the brand new throwout may be unhappy...
    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
