Just trying to read up on it now, One report says a broken back, another just says damaged his spine... i guess we'll have to wait and see what they say tomorrow. There's pics of it if you Google his name.

This is what one of them say...

CHANNEL 7 star and V8 Supercar driver Grant Denyer is recovering in hospital after surviving a serious accident during a monster truck show stunt.

The diminutive Denyer - made famous as Sunrise's weatherman - was trapped under his 6.5 tonne super-sized truck at Dapto after it flipped during a demonstration for a Monster Truck Championship to be held this weekend.

Denyer suffered suspected serious back injuries and was rushed to hospital this afternoon.

"Yes, he was in a monster truck crash and has been taken to hospital," Seven news and current affairs chief Peter Meakin said.

"The injuries were thought to be serious, and he is being kept in hospital for the time being.

"But from what we've since been told we believe he is going to be OK."

Meakin said Denyer, 31, was not on duty for Seven but competing in a monster truck sport event.

"Grant has been involved in the sport and motor racing for some time," Meakin said.

"But this caught us by surprise and and we're just hoping and praying the injuries are not as serious as first thought."

Denyer - who could not be reached for comment - was expected to recover enough for an interview on Sunrise tomorrow.

Ohh, and 1 more thing, if you think that your Super will see you past retirement, you're dreaming. Unless your a politician with a $2 million package waiting for you, you've got no chance. In 10 years the average price of a house will be close to $1 million, by the time you retire that figure will at least quadrupple.......you'll be lucky to buy a new car with your Super money.......so get smart and start planning now.

haha, funny how we were only discussing this the other day........biggest insurance company on the planet AIG with over a trillion $$ in assets needs the help of the US Reserve so it doesn't go belly up while all the fat cats upstairs that treated Wall Street like a Casino walk away millions $$ to retire on.

Still think Super is the way to go for retirement?..........maybe property investment ain't a bad idea after all.

anyone know mark denyer (former sunrise weather guy) he broke his back today trying to jump a monster truck over 6 cars... poor guy :)

so Norman Freeman dieing is nothing to worry about

um can you say lag monster Ryan will leave nice trails but :)

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
