i couldve got you splitfires for 550 delivered...

You could have said that earlier ya cheeky bugger... Luke_ENR34 has been discussing obtaining splitfires in several threads over the last few weeks...

I would've been keen for a set too, although i just installed a set of supersparks an hour ago...

I'm running 6's in mine.....wondering if I should be running 7's instead now.

I've heard some peeps go even colder to an 8 or 9 even, but I assumed they got more track time

Once over ~270rwkw step up to the 7's. 350rwkw then I'd look at the 8's but then your in to easy plug fouling territory.

I run the BKR7E's, most places can only get the BKR7E-11's so grab them and gap them down.

I have no issues with plug fouling poor starting or plug fouling when cold.

The 6's were coming out looking a tad hot for the power its making; the 7's look perfect.

I get around 30,000km's out of mine but thats really pushing them. They start to look worn at 20,000km's but don't seem too cause problems (hard starting and the odd pop) until 30k.

so ,

i was opening my door of my car and i saw something shoot past , went out on to the foot path and it was a koala , so i ran inside and grabbed my dslr and chased after him (was quite funny , a koala running up the street and me chasing it)

anyways he climbed into a small tree up the corner so i took about 50 photos of him and here is one of em

they are bloody angry things hey, ppl over seas come here and get attacked by them coz they think their good to hold on to for a while hahahaha  silly non aussies :P

Joel, on the topic of NKG plugs, can u get them pre-gapped to 0.8mm or do they only come in 1.1

All plugs for example.

BCPR6E or BKR7E are pregapped to 0.8mm.

They can be had from some stores but often need to be ordered in.

You can grab the BCPR6E-11 or BKR7E-11 which are pregapped to ..... 1.1mm and then gap them down

I prefer to grab the 0.8mm pregapped plugs as the strap appears to be slightly shorter so the gap is more consistent even at 0.8mm to what the 1.1's are.

In saying that I haven't noticed any difference between 0.8 and 1.1's gapped down to 0.8mm. Currently I'm running BKR7E-11 gapped down to 0.8mm's.

cheers Joel,

i have a pile of BCPR6E-11 sitting here on my desk. i know what you mean about the long strap... i'll gap em down and get em in my car this weekend (my plugs are pretty foul).

i'll just continue getting these instead of looking for pre-gapped ones

cheers for that

so I'm currently running the iridiums BCPR6EIX-11 at .8mm......to run 7's, do I have to run BKR's or do they make BCP's.......what's the difference?

cheers for that

wasn't asking the difference between coppers & iridiums.....the suffix "IX" denotes iridium.

I wanted to know why Cubes uses a different prefix when going colder in plugs.

looking at the NGK site it makes me think they suit different models?!

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
