Yeah my S15 only made 200rwkw, but had all the other mods to support whatever turbo I wanted to put on it. I decided that 200rwkw was more than dangerous enough (could slide in any gear), but always thought about putting a Disco Potato on it to make 250rwkwish. Sold it before I made that mistake. Too much power for the street in such a light car.

The beauty of the R34 is traction control (and the ability to turn it off if u want). You can happily make that much power AND get it all to the ground.

what would be the most power you could make out of a stock r34 gtt engine?

and what is roughly the most power you can get using stock turbo too??

i am learnings you see :) lol

190rwkw ?

with fuel pump and power fc id say

Turbo back exhaust, pod filter, intercooler, 12psi boost, fuel pump and remapped ECU(can get it done through turbo tune[my mate got his done there with the mods I mentioned and got a smidge under 200rwkw on their dyno])

Yep, what Vu said.

Note that bigger injectors and cams will not help the stock turbo necessarily make more power, as at over 200rwkw it is well out of its efficiency range. Also note that unless you are lucky, a stock turbo will not last massively long at 12psi. If I were were you I would skip the stocker, as a HKS 25/30 like mine can be had for around $1,500, and the Garrett version even cheaper (makes slightly less power though).

Also, yes you would need bigger cams and injectors (my injectors run at up to 96% making 230rwkw) to make 300rwkw unless you went for a stupidly big (read = laggy and unstreetable) turbo. Not sure how long your top end would last with 300rwkw, but seems to be a fair few people doing it around Aus.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
