bahaha, awesome start to the day, forgot my wallet and my parking card, so ive had to drive halfway across town to a place that has free parking on sundays just so i can get to work. sigh.

But i think it has caught AIDS through the holes i'm pretty sure i can see some BLUE MESH behind them.

dammit was beaten to the blue mesh(sorry jdm grill) punch.

potential answers

-its the greatest craze since blue mesh

-i put them there to piss you off, 1 less person i gota worry about stealing my car :D

-i put them there to pick up chicks

-gun shot holes from living in the gheto(or alternatively i hit the switch n guns come out of them j bond style)

-i bought the car with them them already in there and decided to leave them as it would cost what $300 bucks to fill them. Hardly worth the bother in my opinion as i hardly eva notice em, black hole on a dark blue car.

on the plus side helps me relax when i see another blue 32 cause i can always do a quick look at the bumper n make sure its not mine :)

there no more pointless than n1 holes

o yeah and the speed holes thing, makes it go faster

lol at how messed up my dato is and all thats noticed is the gtr has holes in the bumper :)

worthless mod, does not meet requirements of mesh or blue. how you expect that to increase performance

btw anyone note the ricer mod on the dato? they come with black grill's, got the spray can out on that puppy for the snoop dog spec crome look.

shoulda tried blue mesh i reckon instead.

you won't be able to run the suction cap ones at the track anymore. CAMS changed their ruling at the end of last year, infact you aren't even supposed to run anything other than lipstick cams anymore (but they aren't enforcing that at this stage at mallala, and are still allowing handy cams), and if you do run a lipstick cam the brace to hold the computer (that you need to run when using a lip stick cam) must be able to hold the computer under 25G's of load.

What i used was a L bracket that you can find at any hardware store and fixed it to the top of the passangers side seat belt (i.e. the seat belt mounting point near your shoulder)

got my wiring done this morning. awesome.

and looking at my jjr/cooling pro cooler kit, seems i was sent an s13 piping kit. i still havent heard back from jjr, so im a little pissed off about that, but ill be making some calls tomorrow to try and locate an s14 specific kit. fingers crossed.

its been almost ready a few weeks now

its getting there though, the delays are giving me some time to fix little niggling issues that i wouldnt have bothered with any other time though, so its not too bad i spose. hoping to have it rolling at the end of the week.

sooo.. I just got defected..lol. I sold the skyline to get away from cops, but still managed to get pinged in the shitbox. Least i can laugh about it this time, but i really should pay more attention to my tyres.

was driving last night off the lights and car revved to about 6k in first before i shifted then it hit about 5k in second without the power kicking in..was really loud :) after that little dilemma now my engine bay smells like burnt rubber and when i change gears,it just doesnt sound like what it did before...

wondering what happened, any ideas?

    • Nothing cheap, but I have seen the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ which is pretty close to what you're asking for. The problem is the hydraulic cylinder mandates that the back of the jack be a certain height and Skylines have fairly deep inset floor jack points. A more certain and cheap option is to get some nominal 2x10 inch lumber boards and have one board be 1.5 feet, the other board 3 feet. Glue it all together with lots of clamps to maintain pressure. Make two of these. The ramp suggested above is a good idea, it takes quite a bit of clutch slip to get over each of the boards. I only need the first ~1.5 inches for my low profile jack on a standard ride height car but a lowered car you want to go up to the full ~3-3.5 inches. Paint it or store indoors if you want it to last.
    • Ok. And Nistune? I read (here too) mainly on Stagea threads that it can by "turn off" with Nistune. But they say they still had the sensor plug in. Next week iam going to the Nistune(and other ECUs) tuner so i can finally make it work. I drove the car home and apart from the cut it drove great. No misfire no smoke no hesitation or rough start...so hoping it is this sensor that is missing
    • I just stack 2 pieces of 200x50 timber on top of each other. Total length about 900mm, with the top one being a little shorter and both having a 45° angle cut on them to make the front edge a bit of a ramp. Put these in front of each front wheel, drive up on them, throw the trolley jack under. Takes 1 minute. Scissor jacks can eat a bowl of dicks. I never use on under my car unless desperate.
