was driving at malala and car revved to about 6k in first before i shifted then it hit about 5k in second without the power kicking in..was really loud :) after that little dilemma now my engine bay smells like burnt rubber and when i change gears,it just doesnt sound like what it did before...

wondering what happened, any ideas?

fixed for ya :bunny: sure that it aint wheel spin u smelling or did you mean u took off normal and reved to 6k not a clutch dumping

and andrew its 138hp of oldschool muscle, who could handle the l26 monster :bunny:

those burnouts are not my doin but it is a regular spot for commos. cops actually go down there every now and then at night waiting for them to attack.

sooo.. I just got defected..lol. I sold the skyline to get away from cops, but still managed to get pinged in the shitbox. Least i can laugh about it this time, but i really should pay more attention to my tyres.

and to add on from this we could really use a good pair of 14" tyres. Size not fussed aslong as they got good tread.

yeah im with Craig on this one cooked clutch

ive got no idea when it comes to mechanics and all, but i did have a guess it was either the clutch or the turbo/s (r32 gtr). it still drives relatively ok, need to put alot more effort in shifting and taking off (like just from stationery).

any advice on replacement soon? or is leaving it a bad idea?

Yao

p.s. thanks to craig and madaz for the advice

i recommend buying a 4wd and getting it dirty

if only i had a few g's saved up...

the ORC twin is like 2k far out...

might look into something a bit cheaper haha

expecting around 800-1k hopefully, thats a couple of weeks pay

the NPC HD 5puk ceramic clutch good for 350rwkw or little over 300AWKW will set you back around 580 delivered and Daryl from Adelaide Radial Tyre will fit it for you at a good price $350-450 cant exactly say how much every job is a little different

you won't be able to run the suction cap ones at the track anymore. CAMS changed their ruling at the end of last year, infact you aren't even supposed to run anything other than lipstick cams anymore (but they aren't enforcing that at this stage at mallala, and are still allowing handy cams), and if you do run a lipstick cam the brace to hold the computer (that you need to run when using a lip stick cam) must be able to hold the computer under 25G's of load.

What i used was a L bracket that you can find at any hardware store and fixed it to the top of the passangers side seat belt (i.e. the seat belt mounting point near your shoulder)

when im on the track next time ill talk to the guys there and see what they say about the suction cup camera's. its not for any events just practice.

hoping to see all the things i should of done to do things better.

i see heaps of people using them this year so hopefully they dont care so much at mallala

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
