Life Story entry #320 - Found a cool way to advertise on ebay for free :)

I got rid of the silver Stagea earlier this week, but still had it up on ebay. So I simply edited my ad to contain the words "Will swap" and they removed/suspended it without charge :)

What post number does it start at? Page 32 for me is the last page.

friggin lol at that thread...why even post about street racing in the first place??? i mean ffs i posted a pic of me doin a skid "on my unlces property" and then almost 2 months later a lovely mod warned me for it...that was back in the 31 club days....if im gonna get warned for doing something...why wait for nearly 2 months.....the guy was a dooshbag victorian anyway

Funny thing is, its easy to believe that. With so many "proud" street racers in Australia, just loving to post and make the cops look bad even when they're doing you a favour, surprised it hasn't happened already.

I'm sure we'd have our very own thread like that if Officer Neil was on board :P

Geez Vu you had your license in year 11....if i remember correctly i was only 15 then

Actually went for my L's as soon as I could about mid-year 10 and got Ps by start of year 11... you must of been a young one lol most people went for theirs about that time to mid 11.

well we already got ppl stupid enough to bag him on threads he's reading, my favs was at the car show he went to. ppl saying "he was taking pics of my car what a f head" and giving him other assorted cr#p

so he's got your vin number prob license plate aswell not that it matters, and can get any details he wants of you and your insulting him on a thread you know he'll read. what are you hoping to gain other than pissing off someone that can burn you good if he wants.

and krishy if u were 15 in yr11 so u were what 16 in yr 12 wtf? half ppl at my yr12 formal were 18 and the other half 17. think u got ur math wrong :P

I was 16 when I was in year 12. Whats going on? People flunking or repeating enough to be 18 by year 12?

Mind you, I was in year 12 in 1989 ... prob well before most of you were born :P

yea 16 at the start right? turned 17 during. unless you getting pushed up years that should be how it go's

i turned 18 early in the following year, tis good when u can sign ur own permission slips :P

the cut off date is around june for which year you go into

i was bought in 87, your argument is invalid :) i was 17 in year 12, turned 18 that october.

I turned 16 late December in year 11 ... so I was a genuine 16 all the way through year 12. Child genius! :P

    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
