No worries. I'm not desperate for the gear oil yet but I want to do an oil (engine) change pretty soon and am still debating whether it's worth spending the extra on 300V over 8100 xcess.

repco just had that big sale on motul like a month ago, i stocked up :) not sure if they had the 300v though

i went for a hills run last night in the 31 with the roads very slippery.....was much fun. Had to bed in the bottom end bearings so yea..took it for a strap.

Dam straight Damo would rather do SAU them heroin gts4 are 4.1 because they share the same parts from the gtr i think r32 gtst is 4.3 because of the lack of torque from the rb20

Okay my head is spinning ...

I've been looking around for type M kits for an R33 4 door. Started looking at 2 door type M kits, but they seem to vary alot from simple lines to big bars and skirts and wings!

Has anyone got a pic of what a true type M kit looks like?

the above statements are begging for another argument on oil :D it could be the worst sht in the world but aslong as your engine dosnt die and it charges the highest price ppl will believe its da bomb

i carry a inanimate rock in the back of my car to make it run smoother, wheres the proof you ask? well it still runs like the day i got it :cool:

although i would still recommend it :happy: cept for older cars like mine that need to go for something a touch thicker

How do I engine flush? Ive never done it and oils due in 1500 (5K intervals) Guessing its just a additive to pour in and wait till it drains out? Im running castrol edge sport 5w30 in the stag and seems ok. Ive seen people ranting of this Fuchs stuff in the stag section and its pretty cheap apparantly asked repco about it and they said id be going backwards...?

Should i do the oil before the dyno even though its not going be due for another week or 2?

Your theory fails in epic proportion. 1) The Rock is not inaminated - he is alive and kicking ass. 2) The Rock would make your older car run alot smoother with him pushing it out back.

Therefore, "The Rock" that you have in the back of your car is a worthless imitation junk and does nothing, you might aswell have stickers on the side of your car, a GT-Wing and re-name yourself to Vin Diesel. :cheers:

To do an engine flush you buy an additive and put it in with your current oil. Let the car idle for about 10 mins, then dump the oil while its still warm. Easy as!

If your going from synth to mineral you have to change your oil filter too. (I do it every service anyway)

If anyone is interested in trying ULX 110 then let me know, the distributor works with me so could probably get discount.....

      Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!

      End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall

      A few random issues have popped up since my last update. My WMI pressure sensor failed within about 10 minutes of it seeing liquid. It was a 20$ China special, so I'm not surprised. My name brand replacement should arrive today.  My power steering assist also decided to crap out last weekend. The usual, works for about 60 seconds after starting the car then I lose it. I dusted off my old copy of NDS and connected to the HICAS ECU. Code 4 for assist solenoid.... I tested the solenoid and it's fine.  I knew the day where my HICAS ecu would crap out would come, and I welcome it. It was the last HICAS part on the car that is now in the bin. I've ordered an SSR and I will control the power steering solenoid with my Haltech ecu. It will be nice to have proper speed referenced assist again after all these years.
