i didn’t have time to google to ensure correctness and authenticity :) wait a min that’s admitting i was wrong, no your wrong thats exactly how it go's. you dont know what your talking about your just an idiot kid who never contributed nothing to society :) why i working my rear off back in the day to build what you sponge off today

At the end of the day there is no 1 right answer they all will have some positive and negative effects. Isolated incidents will be all they look at and as such can tell any story they want.

Consequences will only increase never decrease, because if they go the other way whoever authorized the change will have to wear any increases to road tolls etc.

maybe we should start chopping fingers off, used to work with thieves back in the day right?

Whether the topic be "car crushing" or "Ruby knocking down pedestrians" ... People just read into something they want to believe ... why let the truth get in the way, when you can have a good flame for no reason whatsoever ... whether by media or forums. People find it easier to keep believing bullshit because thats what the majority do, than to admit they got their facts wrong.

BTW I only bash pedestrians for money :):)

That's what I was trying to get at. I do think however that when push comes to shove and they actually do want to start crushing cars for example, the shit storm that ensues will be enough to open the eyes of those aimlessly wandering around with blind folds on. At least I'm hoping that people have enough sense to.... :)

I don't think that giving police discretion or crushing cars is the answer either but I also think that something has to be done to deter repeat offenders who have no respect for other road users.

sounds reasonable, how much is freight? what tyres? conditions of said tyres? damage to wheels?

The price more or less includes freight, dont know the tye brand etc. only that the fronts are 235 (basically new) and the rears are 255 (and a bit average), damage is only minor scuffing.

I rekon I might keep my eye out locally though, dont want to get stuck with a set of badly fitting rims!

Thanks for your help though.

*sigh* got to go get ready for work, be back at 12.45 am. Except its like Friday for me though because they are doing stocktake tomorrow which means we cant run :)

So I get it off :)

theyre some fairly wide tyres... yeesh.

yeah dude, have a look around sa, theres some fairly cool gear for sale locally.

dont get me started on work, i gotta be up and ready in a couple hours for my 8pm start.

yeah. but doing math every 2 seconds takes its toll on a tired mind.

Know off the top of your head what the odds are (house v player) in Casino War?

horrible. first hand is pretty good, both dealer and player have a 46.something % chance of winning, makes it seem like 50/50 game when you start. after that i think we hold 2-10%. close to 20% on ties.

... dont ask for the odds on big & small or bigwheel though. :)

Dave, have you heard from work about Aug 1/2? I need to change the tickets.

no can do my friend. :)

plus side is im buying a bigger turbo because of it.

... thought i bet you i get the weekend off anyway. :)

So when you were talking the new toy had a V type engine, you weren't talking jap ... you were talking V8 :)

finally on holidays and giving the gtr some much needed love.. fixing a boost leak and a few other things i took my battery out because it had swolen and its leaked acid lifting some paint and leaving heaps of corrosion.. white/grteen powder... what would the best way to solve this be?? gonna head out and get a battery now but should i clean off corrosion give it a lick of rust converter than a hint of paint then a bit of vas?? or is there a better way to go about it?

So when you were talking the new toy had a V type engine, you weren't talking jap ... you were talking V8 :iluvff:

haha waaaaaaaaaaaaay off.

Saw this today.

I think there is a difference between people who like to jump on a bandwagon and talk shit without thinking because it was published in a newspaper recently or was on TV. It's like guys who talk shit about things they have no clue about.... just because someone else is discussing it they want to be involved in the conversation.... They don't really believe in the shit that comes form their own mouth!!

Didn't you know it's cool to argue about stuff though???

It makes you sound way cool & smarter than everyone else, yeah..................NOT.

My Dad told me years ago that God gave us 2 ears and only 1 mouth for very good reason.........think I said that to someone on here before giving him a few weeks vacation in Siberia, lol.

Being argumentitive for arguments sake is so not cool!

Wisdom starts with silence!

theres an election in what... 7 months? if comrade rann can keep this topic on the boil long enough, people will continue on the path on now and vote in the guy whos keeping them safe.

never underestimate the stupidity of scared people in numbers.

Probably the 1st time in many years that I already know who not to vote for in the next election with very little or no consideration of who the opposition is going to be at the time or what they're offering.......got this bad taste in my mouth that I just have to get rid of.

Too much damage has already been done by a very dangerous person.......unfortunately his supporters won't know about his influence and ill effects on society until it's done and dusted.

That's what I was trying to get at. LOL Steve, bring on the crushing I say..........as long as they target the idiots that give the rest of us a bad name and risk innocent lives on the road, I'm all for it.

Can't wait to see Tom's ride get crushed.......once a serial hoon, always one!!

    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
    • Hi,  Just joined the forum so I could share my "fix" of this problem. Might be of use to someone. Had the same hunting at idle issue on my V36 with VQ35HR engine after swapping the engine because the original one got overheated.  While changing the engine I made the mistake of cleaning the throttle bodies and tried all the tricks i could find to do a throttle relearn with no luck. Gave in and took it to a shop and they couldn't sort it. Then took it to my local Nissan dealership and they couldn't get it to idle properly. They said I'd need to replace the throttle bodies and the ecu probably costing more than the car is worth. So I had the idea of replacing the carbon I cleaned out with a thin layer of super glue and it's back to normal idle now. Bit rough but saved the car from the wreckers 🤣
    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
