anyone read the motoring lift out today? on the inside page theres the usual article.

this time its rubbishing the usual "japanese car" drivers that go for a strap through the hills destroying the peace and quiet and killing families on their way home or whatever.

anyways, according to this dude, mallala and the collingrove hill climb and burnout pad coupled with the numerous sporting car clubs are more than sufficient to entertain the needs of car enthusiasts.

bullshit.

how often is collingrove open?

how often is mallala open?

how often can you just drive up to collingrove burnout pad and drop a fatty skid?

how about if you wanna line a mate up for a timed 400m run?

... oh hang, you havent been able to do that for what... 10 years? is drag racing no longer classed as an enthusiasts sport?

2 options. neither of which are often available. and thats enough to suit the hundreds and thousands of car enthusiasts in south australia? get real.

i also saw this.

i liked how they highlighted 'mostly high powered japanese imports' who cause the problems.

EVEN WITH PROOF, that the cars caught at lower light where commodores, the police highlighted 2 car clubs which contain commodores, all the pictures of cars ripping skids where commodores and finally the picture in the cars guide bitching about jap imports doing burnouts and drifting through the hills was a bright f**koff red vn commo.

ive even saw a quote from 'adelaidenow' that was said by our mate, rann, "We will do what we can to get these drivers off our streets, apart from giving them a place to do it off the streets."

my parents are moving to sydney at the end of the year. been offerd so much to go with them. get to live in some high end community and a decent job yet i choose to stay in this shithole for what

awwww she sooo beautiful!!!!!!!! you should get them all lol :)

You sound like Nene :P

Tracy and I were at the RSPCA last weekend. She wanted another dog ... I unfortunately declined. Not until our house extension is done. We have one stupid dog and one stupid cat already :P

good on ya for getting one from rspca chad, :P

and pubes, your dog is a staffy, there all stupid,:P mine decided it would be a good idea to flog our brand new flannelet

sheets off the line and use them in her own kennel.... yep, thanks sass

Our staffy gets chained up away from the back door now. Keeps jumping at it, cutting up her paws on the screen door. Blood everywhere ... I swear that stupid dog feels no pain :P

Interesting. Are the injectors for the RB25DET different to that of the RB25DET Neo motor? ($399 for 550cc for RB25 as opposed to $459 for 440cc or $549 for 600cc for Neo)???

I had thought they were the same ... Neo or non-Neo?

NEO

Top feed High Impedance

Non-NEO

Side feed High Impedance

What i would suggest with the Neo's is to wire in the ballasted resistor for a GTR and use some GTR Low Impedance injectors as they are easier to find they have a wider range and they are cheaper. Also because they are low impedance it easier to control large injectors on low duty cycles.

    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
