LOL Steve have we met?! :starwars:

No I don't think so..... I wondering If I want to now...

Seriously though, you may come across the odd Mr Nemer who thinks he's a gangsta cause he has the pistol he pinched from grandpa though.

LOL! Depends what you call odd.... there are quite a few that get out and about these days!!!

No doubt about it. When I was younger and partying hard the girls that took the most drugs/drink and easiest were almost all exclusively from private schools like Pembroke, St Peters, Wilderness ect ect ect.

ah, wilderness girls... :starwars:

Just invested in one of these:

:starwars:

It's the highest it's been in over 6 months now.

don't get too used to it

Id say Buy a 20yr to 30yr old home on 700m2

live in it for however long, dont go overboard on keeping everything totally 100% upspec and renovated

after 7yrs or so demolish the house and yard and sell as 2x 350m2 blocks.

:starwars:

I started at 18yrs old 1996 woodcroft 90k 3bed 1bath small house, sold for 210k in 2003, current home is M/vale worth 350k-390k, owe 90k on it atm

so glad I got into the market early on. my knees were buggered and felt it was most important to do - hold down a f/time job and buy a small house. didnt travel or waste any $, put it into the morgage month by month

Some people buy a cheap house. It will go up in value. In most cases yes.

But once you sell this house and you want to buy another house, . That house has also gone up right ? Everything goes up, not just what your selling... Remember the amount of interest your paying also. Not just I got this for such and such and sold it for such and such,.

evening all, this house talk is describing me at the moment, trying to find my first. Wish i had started earlier but ah well, better late than never. Proving harder to find something decent in my price range and when i do i get outbidded! Grrrrr.

Ah well, have tomoro off so make some more phone calls and hopefully look at a couple more.

MMMMM i have beer, is good after a 12 hour day of utter bullshit at work!

yeah correct, but if you don't get into the housing market now, you'll never get in.

On the other hand, if you spruce up and present your current house well for a sale of approx $50K over it's current twin in the same area, then manage to grab a bargain in a better area for approx $50 cheaper than its twin in the same location, you've not only made $100K with no capital gains tax to pay (other than agent fees and stamp duty), but you're now in an area that has more potential for capital growth.

You can't do any of that if you aren't even in the market to start off with......hence why I said to Penny that she should get into the market by any means possible ASAP.

Rents will get crazy very soon with vacancy rates at record lows, especially when the FHBG goes and 1st home buyers disappear......RENT = throwing dead money away, hand over fist.

fully siks at ttp really shit me!

why wear a bonds singlet when its like 12 deg. outside?

its not like you have any arms to show off...

ps, get a real hair cut.

/rant

Yeah cant say I really miss TTP (pretty much for the same reason you said) lol

Lived around the corner from it for 12 years, now its a 20 minute drive to a major shopping precinct, but yeah as said.....

    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
