The fact he had an airbag wheel as standard and he removed it is reason enough

bingo.

however, im tempted to the same, just so i can solid mount mt seat to the floor and drop myself 2 or 3 inches, and having a removable wheel is really the only way to do that and still be able to get in and out.

*points to trader rating*

and sled knows where i live haha

this is true , otherwise youve gotta crawl through an area like in the movie , entrapment

writeoff can attest that when i was going to moonta last year, we'd hit a dip and my entire exhaust would bottom out on the tarmac and shoot a tonne of sparks, so much so that it ripped apart one of the welds on my muffler

True but the exhaust system wasn't fitted correctly back then and your car was fully loaded with food, drinks, fishing equipment and ~260kgs of man-flesh.

Speed humps just need to be taken slowly and at an angle. Same with driveways.

Personally I think your Bilsteins are fine and you could save your $ but I haven't driven the car in a long time and never did as a daily.

Non Airbag wheel. Nardi wheel. He said if i had a momo or Isotta i would be fine, even tho they have no air bag :ermm:

Dion, will u be down towards the city any day soon? would be great if i could borrow the light.

Should only take a couple of nights after work to finish it all.

Thanks.

i suspect in the 2 years that theyve worn - the exhaust was fitted properly - this was back when I still had the 3.5" kakimoto that was on it when i bought it off you. because of that, i switched to a twin pipe junbl sidebyside cannon setup, which wasnt fitting correctly on the trip to another place, but I dont think you were there for that - inspite of the junbl's not being mounted correctly, they still scraped less than that kakimoto (the muffler was massive)... and even tho theyre now mounted correctly, I still get scrapage around the side street speed humps... thats even slowing down to 10kph...

ill see what waynes teins are like and if I have to, start saving up for nismos that scandy suggested ... however I suspect because the suspension is nismo, it'll cost me 2 kidneys to afford..

Shit. I have a nardi too. But then again R32 GTRs never had air bags... maybe that means I'd get away with it

Nope, don't think Nardi's have ADR approval

bingo. even if your car didnt have an airbag wheel as standard, the only aftermarkets wheels you can legally fit are from momo and isotta because theyre the only brands that have got adr approval.

My R32 has stuff about SRS Airbag written all over the sunvisor, I'm waiting for the day a cop gives me a hard time about removing an airbag wheel.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
