yes andrew, ive changed my mind.

i wanna see the assholes that started these fires burn. no hearings. no court cases. no chance to defend themselves. i want to see them burn.

luke jacobs i think.

Yeah +1 to that. Throw the book at them (or set the bastards on fire).... fundraiser would be good but I dunno how far we can go with our general SAU turnout.. then again even a small amount of cash would be better than nothing... could do a BBQ like Damo suggested? Everyone brings a plate of food/meat and $10? Then donate the cash to salvos or red cross or some other charity that's helping people out

what would that achieve? the law is so f**king lax. if its a kid they'll get a f**king slap on the wrist. actually, an adult would get nothing more than that too. shit, couple years with no parole at most? burn the motherf**kers.

Bugger! Think my turbo is on its way out. Making some minor "rattling" noises (sounds like dry bearings) under the engine bay. No harm to performance at all. Runs the same and perfectly fine. Its just some odd noise I can hear when I'm not blowing my brains out with Linkin Park. I'm pretty sure its the turbo. Getting it checked out on the way home tonight by some mob in Regency Park. :(

Maybe a 3071 is due! :D

Or I might just keep the stock turbo and rebuild it with new bearings so the cops are happy. :P

Edit: I'll also add ...

When I shut the engine off, I hear the faint noise for another 5 secs after. Perhaps bearings in turbo spooling down? The only thing I can think of that would still be 'rotating' or 'running' after the engine is off. I'd like to think its something else, but must be realistic.

Any ideas at all what it would cost me? Ballpark figure? :(

Yeah I think the problem is that you listen to Linkin Park, the rattling noise is the tinnitus haha

Confirmed. Turbo core is rattly and on its way out. $1700 to rebuild.

Do I go with rebuilding it or would a 3071 be better with less lag?

For $1700, what do I do people? :P

f**k 1700? a guy in melb hiflows for 800? You can get more power out of a 3071r :P but do you wanna upgrade injectors, fuel pressure reg, fuel pump, z32afm, etc etc?

I'm with damo on this. If u get defected you'd have to take the FPR, AFM and turbos off. I know you're mechanically smart enuff to do that, I'd just be wondering if its worth the money/hassle.

That said, 3071's are hardcore :P DO EEEET!

damo remember what happened 2 me with ur 800 dollar rebuild lol

naaa hes a good guy my stock turbo housing was apparently stuffed( even tho my car was running fine with it b4 i sent it to him !), dont worry about that reuben just get a garret or somthing

It's definetly worth the hassle, time and money otherwise no one would buy anything....300rwkw is definetly worth the risk. loll

Hows this for good.

have a few drinks with one of my fav musical groups from LA two weeks ago.

Watch their second show last thursday. have a few more drinks. and chit chat. real nice people.

Ask me and a friend to come party with them in Las vegas in May. then stay with them in LA where they live. show us around etc.

My answer was yes. :P

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
