yeah I was thinking of changing the seats to a bucket seat but then thought the normal seats are quite comfy and if I could use the harness for trackdays then I won't have to sacrifice comfort.....and it also keeps the interior symetrical and stock.

I was under the impression the question was if the harnesses would look weird (and perform ok) in between the 2 metal rod thingys on a normal 33gts-t seat? Not about mounting it? :)

yeah thats what I was wondering

Yeah the car is in peices, when its back together thats cool :D

Pm me in bout 5 weeks :P

pm more like in 15 weeks....

:P

Ive actually got a harness here at home, but Im fubared to know how to install/hook it up in my 33!

I really should try and see how it goes.

Tim (tjandrison in nsw) has one with his 33 GTR James, he puts it in for track days and texi etc

I recon it would be a bit dodgy between the metal bars of the headrest. All the weight/tension would be pushing those thin little bars outwards. You really do need a seat with holes in it, like the GTR seats.

Go grab yourself a 2nd hand set of GTR seats to put in your car... still comfy, more supportive AND you can use a harness :P

or a year or 5

His car is a GTR so it still doesn't help with the harness inbtween the bar thing....oh well guess i'll find out if I ever buy a harness

you'll be fine! I've seen a few with them.... but never actually looked closely!

it's a bad idea to use a 4 point harnes with any recliner type seat. GTR or GTST or otherwise.

there are no guids for the lap belts which means they can ride around. also in an accident the seat back is very likely to part company from the base which can leave you in a world of trouble. extra downward pressure from the harness shoulder belts will put stress on the seat, and then on your spine.

4 point racing harnesses are designed to work with racing fixed back seats.

Actually its pics of how you have mounted it that would really help, did you have to put holes in the tunnel etc?

No holes at all, see below

I got a 4 point in my GTR aswell with standard seats. I have used the rear seat belt anchors to attach the harness at the rear. ill try and find a pic

Same

some pics

Yep, exactly the same, but for street use you can unclip the harness at the front and just throw the belts over the back of the seat, then slip the seat cover on and no one would ever know >_<

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
