hey mate i used to get some of that exhaust gasket paper from auto1. Its a metal gasket with some weird outer layer so it doesnt look like metal until u cut it.. its pretty cheap and works ok... i dont recomend using it all the time as mine used to burn after a month or 2... its too thin...

u can get a proper gasket from midus for like $7...

yeh true but ur quickest and best bet is midas exhaust centre... they have all sizes in stock ready to go. and they are all a generic gasket, meaning they can be slightly modified to fit most flanges. ie they will get the closest match then one hole will be elongated... plus they are cheap.

repco never have any in stock

How do you guys go cutting the stuff? I had a hell of a time, tried using a grinder and no dice. :S

I bought a VL exhaust manifold gasket ~$8 and tried to swap around a couple of the ports but as it turned out it was slightly off centre anyway so my port matching of the manifold/head etc would have gone to waste. + I couldn't cut it. :P

I ended up tracking down a gen nissan rb26 gasket for next to nothing on ebay, cut and then used that.

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
