Hey all,

Looking at this package (17" in silver, not chrome) for $899, but just wondering what size tyre is best for the Stagea (compared to the standard 16" tyres).

http://www.tempetyres.com.au/pages.asp?ID=Concept+5 (EDIT ---- adding link helps, eh?!)

I know there are tyre calcs around(somewhere!), but I also want to know if anybody else here has dealt with Tempe before, and what you thought of them.

Cheers, Greg.

You don't want to know what I think about Tempe's wheels....

As for their tyres, I bought a set there last weekend, Falken FK452 in 245/45/17 to suit 17x8" wheels for $200ea

since we are editing lol, as long as you have same size tyres all tround you will be ok. 245/45/17 is a little large but it doesn't really matter except for speedo accuracy (and this size is more accurate than the standard ones for me)

lol tempe wheels. i would rather bolt 4 very large rocks to my hubs and spray them with a layer of chrome paint so that it can conveniently chip off in a year or discolour... than put tempe wheels on any performance car.

Well, if somebody has a set of 34GTT mags they want to upgrade from, I may be convinced, as long as we can get them to Hobart fairly cheaply.

And as for the chrome comment, I'm the founding member of 'Team Anti-Chrome'!! That's why I was looking at the silver set!

Cheers, Greg.

I have no issues with chrome at all, it all just depends on its setting.

Oh, there is also cheap chrome and quality chrome. Most chrome looks shit coz the wheels themselves are shit, doesnt matter silver/black/chrome, its a bad design. For example, Work Emotions CRKai's look awesome in chrome.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
