only thing i ever got done for was speeding a few times very late at night with no other cars around.

sif do burnouts and shit :D

Ferah - yeah this thread will probably be turned into a "my new car" thread sometime next week :D

thats when suspension ends. but i'll probably get it on friday/monday?

oh and full license on the 18th :D

Not likely..

When my suspension ended, 3 month suspension and they didn't send me my license back.

Rocked up to VIC Roads 1 week after suspension finished and asked for my license back, they said it gets sent to Kew. So I'm like well call Kew because I want it back, I can't drive without it..

They called Kew and they'd lost it?

Wanted me to pay for a new one..

Abused the lady good and she did a replacement for me, no charge as they lost my old one.

Suspension of P plates adds another 6 months to the total time for your P's. My probationary license was suspended for 1 month and when I got it and it added 6 months onto the total time on my P's.

I know a friend (he also knew another person) which had the EXACT same 'story' told to him! How they are able to continue to do that is beyond me.

I dont think thats true, i know 3 or 4 ppl who have had there licences suspended for 1,3,6 and 18 months and none of them ahd any time added onto their probationary licence. My old best mate just got his licence back after loosing it for 15 months he has it for a month then looses it for another three and he turns 21 durning the next three months and vic roads told him that when finishs his next suspention he'll get his full licence. He thinks he's fully sick way to loose 26 points in 2 months.

The only time they add time on is when you actully loose your licence and have to start your p's agian and that only happens if you get done for drink driving

In my experience (not personally), the length of the ban is added onto the duration of the P's. If you are banned for 1 month, that is added on. So in real driving time you are still having 3 years however you might be 24 when you get off of them.

LOL at Ni too! :D

Its because VIC Roads is a joke!!

And as far as I know my 'P' plates have not been extended even with my 3 month suspension.

My lincese says it expire exactly 3 years from when I got it (when I turned 18). If it was extended would it expire 3 months later from the original issue date?

I got done doing 120 in an 80 zone when I was in the first year of my P's. Stupid now that I think of it. Either way, the cop let me off easy for first offence and gave me a one month suspension. However when they re-issued my license, the date which my probationary license ended was extended for 6 months. No alcohol involved, no other cars, no accident, just the speeding. This was about 6 years ago.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
