Im buying a GTR 33 and have found one that suits me.

I want to get it looked over and checked out, compression test etc, but im unable to get into any tuner shops until jan 08! and the seller wont hold the car that long, which i dont blame him...

And ive been looking every where and i remembered im a member of the RAA. so i rang them to see what they offered.

They said they would do a full inspection and compression test etc.... and i can get it done monday!

BUT would you trust the RAA with a preformance car?

Yeah for sure. compression is compression and oil leaks are oil leaks. A specialist workship might be more thorough and identify common issues more easily, but if they aren't available the RAA are better than no-one

ive had a couple of bad experiences with RAA inspections. but at the end of they day they will be able to tell you what you need to know. If you can drop a deposit and get it inspected by a performance workshop then id go that option, They would most likely be able to identify more common problems in a performace car than an RAA inspector would.

or you could do a search and learn how to inspect these things yourself. Extra knowledge is always a bonus plus you'll save $$$
