Iv been to every one since #12. Its a lot more civilized these days.. which i guess is a good and bad thing

Night time with a import is still hairy, but can be offset by either car or how big your arms are hehehe. A riceless ride that sound off guts and pops a burnout every now and then still gains some attention of the good kind. Having a car load of massive mates (pref looking like ice dealers) helps a lot too haha

Hey Jon... have you seen the Summernats thread in NSW Events? There are a few coming down and it could turn into dinner on Sat night. I know its late notice, but is it worth trying to get a few more cars there?

I have not seen anyone on these forums that could enter as a full entrant anyway.

You obviously have no idea what youre talking about, i could enter mine, and its far from the most mechanically modded or showy car here, and after being at scrutineering on tues eve, i could even put my ute in, and its dead stock with a couple of gauges and a fire extinguisher.

I know that widebody 32 from here has entered his car a few times, theres more to entering than winning grand champ, things like the dyno comp, driving events, show n shine, being in the top 60, which is what were hoping for with the rod this year, hope it makes it

For the six cars entering remember the following. I plan on being there about 8.30.

Sunday, all vehicles will meet at Dickson College (corner of Antill St and Phillip Ave Watson) between 8:00 and 9:15 am, Once there, Officials will:

Ensure the vehicle is on the attendance list.

Check to see if Vehicle is registered or on valid permit (no unregistered vehicles will be allowed to enter Summernats 20)

Place wristbands on all entrants (max 2 adults and number of children who legally fit inside the vehicle)

Place window sticker on Vehicle

Thank you to John for organising, it was a great day, so many cars on show in the arena that I didn't feel the slightest bit worried about the car.

FYI-Shannons told me that we are insured when we are at Summernats or any show n shine type event unless competing in go to whoa, burnouts, motokhanas etc.

We went as a family with Thomas and Reece as our kids :D

Well what a turn out and a great day. A big thank you to everyone who attended and "risked" their cars. Despite the fears of "Drunk V8 Bogans" damaging cars it turned out to be another car show with a few extra freebies and a lot more stalls.

What a stinker of a day it was, but you know the day will be good when all the V8's get nearly stripped searched before entering NATS and the Skylines just get waived through :-). I believe that is partly due to our social reputation in Canberra helped by turning up in large numbers to cars shows and not being dicks on the road. Of course having someone like Ladybytes as PR (loudmouth?) always helps.

There were quite a few skylines in attendance at the NATS, here's a few:

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
