i think a thin piece of conduit slid down the eye of their knobs and let pissed off bulldog ants run down the tube , then slide the tube out and seal the eye up with glue , all with their hands and feet tied . :D:P:D:D

Hmm... boundary = pushed

Would looooove to push further, but this is not the place

As an aside, I remember telling my ex that if she were to cheat on me, she would wake up with her lovely bits full of cement. :O

Wait, is that too far?

All very interesting approaches guys but jeez the legalities scare the crap out of me. And please no more granny talk ok. I am trying to keep my "dark side" in check.

Ya get to a point where you simply say wtf.

Thanks ever so much though for the wonderful thoughts

We do what we can :D

Can I ask, all this time, where is the car kept?

Honestly, right now I think it is in Sydney. Well at least we think it is. We have'nt had anything from the complance people for about 3-4 months. And honestly, we are past caring.

muz,

should be where you left it:)

I'll check in a few days..

Yeah good one Chris :P Las we heard it was either in Sydney or Mellbourne depending on who we spoke to but hey it's only money, right? We were down in Brisvegas over xmas and didn't even bother trying to contact you knw who.

cheers and happy new year to you. Is it to late to say that?

I hope all is as well as can be in the household Muz (that kit may have to wait a bit, eh?)

Speaking of the kit, I went and met with a couple of Brisbane based kit manufacturers over xmas and must say that I was impressed with the RCR kit but seriously think I will go for the Roaring Forties one from Melbourne. That is when this mess is finally settled.

cheers

nah. I have to go past there anyway and whilst there I was going to pop that navi back in.

rumour is there may be a fellow smart enough to clear emmisions on it. (so I have heard this may not be entirely true.)

Pics of build progress (when applicable) please.

Wish I had a vid of when that guys started up the roaring forties kit. :)

Have a look at some of the stuff on gt40s.com or have a look at the RCR web site and wrap you smiling eyes around the SL-C. Aren't we strange people! Here am I thinking of forking over 67 big ones for a V36 Skyline when I could have a GT40 or SL-C for the same money. Go figure

cheers

4 door or 2 door?

If is a daily, I don't think you could grow to stand the GT40's "rawness" day to day.

Yeah you're probably right, I reckon it would take me a least a couple of years to get tired of driving it. Looking at a 2 door V36.

cheers

Finally found out where the Stagea is. It is at the Ford testing Station in Lara, Victoria. It has been there since about the eight month last year and has not been touched by anyone since then. Seems all energy has been expended and it would now appear that the problem is all mine!! Too bad the scrap metal prices are where they are as I can't even get a good price for it as scrap.

Round 1 in the courts tomorrow.

cheers

Muz

good luck in court mate!

just finished reading this entire thread. its a sad story........

anyway, all this talk of torture make me scared, yet strangely aroused :)

Oh jeez not another one of Sleeper's mates

Thanks guys for all your support. I do pass this onto my wife and she thinks that I keep some p r e t t y strange friendships but you all sound like it would be good to follow you out of the trenches.

cheers

Muz.

    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
