beau, i chased it up with coby last friday - awaiting a response.

yourself and karl are the last two to receive them.

GTR.2NV also lives in Vic and has gotten his.

i'm not sure why you haven't, do you live a bit out of the city center?

karl lives over in WA so it might take slightly longer.

i'll keep you guys posted when i get a reply. in the meantime make sure the postman hasn't left a delivery ticket that someone has accidentally put aside/thrown out.

PM sent to both of you to re-confirm addresses.

eug

Beau, there was an attempted delivery at your specified address on the 24/12/2007 at 13:47PM

Karl, yours was attempted on the 27/12/2007 at 11:44AM

please check if an 'attempted delivery receipt' was left asking you to pick up from your local post office.

you both have been PM'd with tracking numbers!

Eug no need to worry no body blaims you for anything, you were only help :P

the excuse the post office gave me was they are trailing some sort of new ticket system??

i was like yeh what ever give me my pipes.

and they only just fit accross my back seat, was lucky didnt think they would..

so i shall take pictures of my process, should be on by tuesday

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

this headers thing has turned into quite an expensive investment.

the initial price of $285 plus $170 for heat wrapping then $20 for some thermal paint then $250 to have the flange welded on and have them fitted... :D

i just hope they are worth it or i am going to grumble..

I went into the Local Aus post office and they didnt even have my tracking number in the book or any record of it under express delivery..i then said how there wasnt even a ticket left and the lady serving me thought this was quite strange especially ince i was home the day and time it was suppose to be delivered....

she gave me the number for customer service and they transferred me to someone and they found the details of my item but still didnt understand why its not at the post office or anything..the guy was very helpful and was going to investigate into the matter and track down the driver ect..he took down all my details and gave me a refference number and was going to call me back when he finds out anything.

thanks Eug for everything and yeah its not your fault Aus Post sucksss

..i just really hope they find my extractors.....

im getting it done with Kirmit off these forums

hes making up the catback as well so thought may as well get him to do the whole thing..

i thought $250 to fit the extractors was pretty steep as i could do it myself..

but if the extractors change the length of the rest of the pipe i need my catback to fit.

and booking it into two different places is just a hassel..

(im the kind of person that wastes money when i dont need to)

ok everyone

so my extractors and new catback go on tomorrow

cant wait! im posting a few pics of my progress..

pic0241zn1.th.jpg

first half of heat wrapping done ^^

pic0244if3.th.jpg

fully wrapped and painted in high temperature paint ^^

pic0245lc9.th.jpg

the paint i bought to seal the heat wrapping and hopefully create more heat protection ^^

after i was done wrapping and painting i had some heat wrap left over.

i remembered the "ghetto foil" idea for the induction pipe and decided that heat wrapping would probably be better and as i had some left i thought i'd try it.

WELL! i highly recommend heat wrapping your induction pipe!

i didnt think it would make much of a difference but i was wrong.

good investment imo.

anyway will let all know how they go afer they are fitted tomorrow

cheers

Karl

    • Drilled the rubber out on a slow speed and it didn't catch much at all. Probably only half a dozen holes was enough to shred the rubber and it dropped off easily leaving the inner sleeve behind. Will tackle that later
    • I havent bought a manual cover for the dash yet and no cluster change, won't bother me too much, I just need to get that auto box gone, manual in! I miss my manual. 🤪. We started last weekend and managed to get the box out. Planning to start putting it in this weekend and then order a single piece tail. We were super careful to take time and not damage anything. It's my first time working under the car.  With my S15 mainly worked in the bay. This time, it was a headache because of three or four bolts only. They simply didnt want to leave thei homr and the one securing the tailshaft, another above the GB, and the one securing the lipstick was a shit. Mates mate, Davo caught fire 🤣, nearly opened his chest up with a grinder 🤦🏽‍♂️ and both mates nearly had a plate from the box land and slit their head open. Fun times. We all survived. Not the easiest working with limited access on jackstands. As I'm sure we can agree these are the memories which make us love our car. For all three of us, was an awesome weekend and Sunday 3.30am before tools down was a fantastic effort. I need to upload pics, but looks like it needs to be via Url now. We used to be able to just upload pics back in the day. It's been that long! 🤪 Im currently spraying rustoleum under body, not because it's rusted. It's super clean, but just so it's protected for the next 10 years. There was a few surface rust spots. Which pretty much wiped off with a 3M scourer.  Really impressed with how well the previous owner maintained it. Bank account went down so quick! Service, then GB - managed to get a spanking new 34 genuine box from Nissan. All the rest of the conversion parts from Kudos.  Went with a Nismo short shifter. New pedals and Exedy Clutch and FW. Ordered the Prp Rear Main Retainer kit which should arrive Friday and my first engine mod part just like I did with my S15 will be the Tomei Expreme Turbo Outlet. Already on order. It'll likely sleep next to me on a pillow during the coming months. 🥰 Last build was on my JET200GT profile and on SAU and Hardtuned I had documented the build. Planning to try to do that again. Brands feel scarce now. Wish we still had ARC and Apexi parts readily available. Exhaust - need some advice on this. I had an Apexi exhaust on the S15 and loved the tone. My mate had a HKS HP Silent on his 33 and suggested I go with that to avoid drone. I can't remember hearing an RB25DET running that so will likely need to wait for a meet or something to hear it.  Not after big power, just enjoy building it, and drivability with minimal negative attention.
    • Have a chat with Ben at Moore Performance or Jesse at JS Performance.
    • Thanks both. All good advice. Reminds me of drilling through stone wall for drainage pipe 😬 I'll let you know how I get on if I still have use of my hands afterwards 😅
