So, another new year is upon us,

which means another Summernats is upon us,

which means than stuff happening in Braddon and the city every night is, err, upon us.

Anyway, as with the last couple of years, we'll be out to check out what's happening.

So, to kick off, Frink and myself will be heading out tonight (probably every night). Tonight will be the quieter night of the bunch but Nats Wednesday is usually about 50x busier than Braddon on a normal Friday night anyways.

We shall be at the museum at 8:30 thhis evening if anyone wants a common spot to meet up and we can head in from there, maybe do a quick round to see where the best spots are, then park and go in for a proper look.

In the past we've found it's not best to drive round all the time, it's easier to attract the attention of the po po even though you're not doing anything wrong and you tend to see more on foot anyway.

Any takers - museum at 8:30.

Pretty good, got off to a quiet start though

Luke and I got there at 8:30, no one there so he went home, I hung around with Bullbar, Stinkypoo & GT-Passage, we headed back in and it was picking up. Plenty of nice cars driving around, you more or less couldn't park on Lonsdale St when it was at it's busiest.

We ended up leaving around 11:30, so yeah it ended up being pretty good.

Few Skylines about, including a horn Bayside Blue R34 GT-R with gold GT-C's.

Tonight should be much busier though.

Ok, we're going to try and get into the city around 7 tonight, to try and get a park on Lonsdale St.

We'll swing past the museum around then to see if anyone wants to join us a bit earlier.

so how was tonight? I was in town earlier in the arvo and saw a few random cars.. got yelled at by some guys in a ute LOL.. not much happening that early though..

What's the go for tomorrow night? I might come along.

Frink and I are thinking of getting in there about 6pm tonight.

We'll trying to get the same parking spots as last night, for anyone that's coming and wasn't there last night, it's the main roundabout in the middle of Braddon, and we're going to try and get the spots on the corner in front of the used car place opposite Gregorys Ford. The parking spots there are pretty good and it's minimal fuss if you need to leave.

Oh, and PS - Ignition DVD is meant to be out tonight too...

    • Order for the 2025 model R35 GT-R were accepted from 3rd March and 26th August the last order rolled off the production line at the Tochigi plant. Concerning the R35 GT-R replacement, current Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa said "Nothing has been decided about the GT-R at this time, but we are well aware that everyone is waiting. The GT-R will evolve and reappear in the future. Please be patient until that day comes." Nissan has a lot of issues with management and finances so take Espinosa's words with a big grain of salt. From what discussions I've had and read about here in Japan, not a lot of people are confident about Nissan's future, let alone the next GT-R.
    • Thanks. We getting some parts along too so he will be solving the speed issue like next week so i will let you know what he came up with.
    • 21 is explicitly the coils detected as the issue. Is it guaranteed the actual issue? No. Just the ECU thinks it is. When you say rattling, describe it better, get an audio clip as best you can if possible.
    • Yea got me coppers. Bad news is I just put them in and the car still has the light and shakes. I also noticed I hear like rattling coming from the exhaust piping right under me. Does 21 also have a possibility of being O2 sensors?   So, coil packs are good, the harness is good, the MAF is working, and obviously the spark plugs just replaced and working.
    • Make sure you drop the GTT base tune back in, and set your injectors again, this will remove anything playing up with it you may have removed. Possibly lean there as it's normally a fast transient going THROUGH atmospheric pressure, and a turbo motor would then quickly go richer as boost builds. The only worry you MIGHT have is ignition timing, as the DE is higher compression than the DET from memory. But again, you're not in boost, so the DE motor will be a lot more forgiving at atmospheric.   Get Murray, Kinkstahs, and Johnny's input on tuning haltechs, those guys have played with tuning enough in the past to be able to help now you're past the trouble shooting stage of the MAP issue
