I'm not sure about that lol yes definitely getting old and that doesnt help, but have taken pre-workout 4 times when playing cricket and 3 times resulted in strained hamstring, all when really making quick movements. Have played since I was 10 and has never happened any other time, only when I took the pre-workout. So dont take it anymore for cricket.

Mechanical injuries aren't going to be the pre-workouts fault. Strains in the hamstring have been around for a very long time before pre-workouts exsisted. Pre-workout for cricket sounds like a waste anyway?

Are you kidding lol they get you all fired up and focused, there great for batting and sports like that....... well great if it weren't for the injuries!

Anyways just wanted to see if others has any similar experiences but clearly not!

It might work to fire you up but, it's a placebo effect. Unless you are taking the actually effective and therfore illegal stuff, you are just believing in something that is nothing more than a sugar pill. Certainly nothing that nutrition and attitude aren't able to do for you.

My thoughts are similar to rev's...a PWO is a bandaid solution to a deficit in your diet or sleep. Even if they are a placebo, they obviously work because placebos do...but it says to me there's something that needs fixing, like a rattle in a car and turning up music to block it out.

The same thing can be achieved with 3 coffees and 2 spoons of sugar each...cause that's pretty much what the legal stuff is.

I dont mind a bit of pre workout, even if it's placebo effect still works for me.

Using Craze at the moment, Birds you should take a scoop just out of interest before our Monday workout :P

I play cricket aswell, i honestly dont waste my pwo on cricket not worth it. Not when you field for 5 hours or there abouts.

How do you find craze and what dose do you take? I hear many things from others how the like this and ect...

I do take this, i can see how people can think its a bandaid but supplementing a pwo meal with a drink 30-45mins before can be an option.

I think its good, just take one scoop tastes great too. (berry lemonade? i think)

Gives off a little buzz and helps with endurance was rated pretty high on some sites

Haha pre-cricket

And Troy, whilst I may not agree with your opinion, I'll defend till I'm deadlift your right to say it!

lol I'm not sure if this was a play on words, or if you jumbled shit...coz I can't comprehend this :P

    • @silviaz  Maybe have a play with dry guide coat and using the compressor liberally and report back if its working better for you.
    • It's just that it looks like it's all gone dry, but when you wet it the different materials darken differently and you can see the traces of the remaining guide coat, which are otherwise too thin to see when dry.
    • Experience has shown that trying to get the simple boost controllers (I have a Profec) set up on the dyno leads to needing to do it all on the road again afterwards. The dyno load is sufficiently different that the gain always ends up wrong and the start boost is wrong, and it ends up surging. Not compressor surge - just overboosting and carrying on. People are probably somewhat acustomed to the modern reality of Haltechs, et al, controlling to a closed loop target.** It's no skin off my nose. The dyno is easily accessible for the little extra tuning that will be required afterwards. And as you say - I stand to gain some useful info. ** On that subject, the idea of torque modelling/targetting is apparently a big OEM thing now. Look at Jason's Engineering Explained YT video on the new Corvette's turbo control system. This sort of thing would appear to be quite achievable in modern aftermarket ECUs, I should think. Is this what people are already doing to avoid the "boost target is 20 psi and I'm going to get there even though the throttle is only 50% open!!!" that I imagine simpler closed loop control would yield?
    • $50 says no measurements where done post machine shop.
    • I'm confused, so your saying after blowing the area off, the guide coat is gone. But then when you wipe it down, the guide coat residue becomes visible again? This isn't a trick question like there is guide coat residue on the rag that your wiping the area down with?  I cant see how once something is removed, it comes back when cleaning with wax and grease removed?
