Just seeing how many people saw the 1st episode in the series on Fox8 last nite?

I think it looks to be a good show in the coming weeks.

For the people who did see it, who does everyone think is going to win?

and what does everyone think of the cars that are on there?

i would personally like Dom to win in his RX7 Mazda because he is from good old adelaide hehe

I watched it (been waiting a few weeks for it to air) and I was quite puzzled by Luff.

He drove the v8's, found them over-powered and under handled and a handful to drive in the skidpan exercise yet rated them high. But then with Andrew's 200SX he said it handled very well, good power, very quick around the exercise yet rated it the lowest?

I have a feeling Luff will rate the v8's high no matter what due to being Holden/Ford and he drives Holden/Ford everyday and im not just saying that because this is an import forum and I own imports.

i was disappointed by the show, how on earth can luffy genuinely rate how good a car is by tooling around traffic cones!

how can he comment on grip, power, handling and brakes while restricting cars to low speed and minimal g force... i'm no expert, but have raced amongst some good names and experience tells me that naturally the v8s are going to be tops around extreme low speed corners with massive torque!

i hope things get better... but maybe i just want a turbo to win!

well its that time of week again for it to be on.

this week its the 1/4 and half mile, shall be good to see what Dom gets, and hopefully beat them v8s haha

and also to see if the ferrari does any good like the dude says haha

It looks like a good show :) Entertaining...

I actually seen the guy out of the red VL brock the other night, thought that was cool :P

The RX7 is so nice...

Where they hosted the first episode (Shepparton) is where the victorians SAU hold there DECA its an awesome skidpan :(

yes was gay how they didnt show the times! does get a bit boring with all the boring talk lol

and i think Dom did the best on the drag strip he went like a rocket!

was funny how the 200 snapped the axel haha unlucky for him

lol we didnt want them to show the times because it wasnt a preped track or even a decent runway you would of seen all the weeds growing up through the tarmac then ontop of that there was the loose gravel ............we were not happy about the surface they made us run on ....

they had a good runway but then that got cancelled the day before we filmed this so this was the one we ended up with ......

i got there with literally 2 min to spare if i had of been 2 min later they wouldn't of let me run so i was on a new clutch had already stalled it like 3 times on the way out to the air field trying to get used to the different feeling clutch ... and while i was on the start line i was like do i just take of slow and steady and risk stalling it or just give it enough to take off and worry about the wheel spin later it wheel spun hard off the line as you would of seen the car was skating all over the place in first and second ....but then it got grip and took off i can tell you my 1/4 mile was slower than the Torrie but my 1/2 smashed everyone so if i had of taken off nicely off the line i dare say i would of blitzed them all ...

it took me 4 seconds to cover the second 1/4 mile ..with a top speed of 260km if i had of got a decent take off would of been near 300 id say

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
