Combustion Chamber Pitting Repairable?

Hey guys,

Pitting in the combustion chamber can it be repaired by a cylinder head specialist?

Has anyone had this done before? Foreign objects have entered the bore and top of cyl 4 chamber has pretty bad pitting/marks. I will call on monday to find out but I can pick up a bare 26 head cheap so just wondering if its better to just get them to swap in everything from the other head and just have the valves cut again as they appear to have sustained little damage.

Can certainly be done, but it doesn't end up cheap, by the time the valve seats are removed, welding, surface grind, die grind, machine for new valve seats, and fit new valve seats, the cost of the repair can be high.
