ah hem my heart was breaking as you make these five gran launch jokes...... compression locking up and down gears squeeks and clunks everywhere... may cost me abit down the track... no disrespect to dave but next time when i say can you drive manual with brass button clutch it should be either a yes or no....

it can be driven like a sleeping baby just takes a very loving clutch foot followed by a teency bit of nicely timed love from the throttle :)

its an excedy brass button clutch!! very bitey but i love it... just a pitty i can hardly drive it :D

next time ill drive it for ya :P

i need to cut back on my petrol expenses

ok uploaded some pics here ya go

did anyone wonder what hapen to the standard spy issue db9? whats this spy34 sh*t :D

and what the hell is with only 1 33 on the cruize? they the most common on the street i thought

I have never heard so many piss weak excuses ....

haha classic

haha but hey, i still made it out there!

Edited by Import S13

yeh was a disapointing turnup considering the amount of interest, but oh well, people will be weak :)

was a good day none the less apart from the heat, would love to have arranged cars a few different ways but the heat was a killer. Sorry for my lack of setting cars up skill but was kinda thinking do it as quick as possible with it still looking kind of decent. Next one we do will hopefully be cooler and can spend a couple of hours playing with different spots.

Cheers to all that came out and braved the heat, ive never enjoyed water so much as when we stopped at that kiosk down semaphore.

Good to catch up with people and see you all again soon.

guys dont shrink your photos so much

use image resize and use custom then make its to fit a SCREEN 1600x1200 doesnt mean the pic will be that large but i find that gives a good size over definition

Hey the group shot above is awesome! Nice work

I just got home.. and i ahve work at 5 am :S So my photos will have to wait until tommorow, sorry guys!

once again, thanks to all those who made it!

i got sum photos but they kinda a bit sh*t quality, well they are sh*t quality.

shoulda taken a camera.

and nice colour on ur car gzilla. its not look-a-like yet i still gotta do the bonnet lol

its just sittin at home waitin to be fixed

finally, get online afta 4 days haha

got my 163 photos to upload now

found out that the lid on the ute wasnt bullet proof - one of the gas struts to hold it up popped its seal and emptied its oil.......but looks like it was a pre-existing bend that had done it. so its all good.........its still "fat bastard proof" andrew :)

next photoshoot i'll hav a cherry picker for sure.......that woulda worked perfectly for the panorama shot.........speaking of which is anyone good with photoshop? ive got 2 or 3 sets of photos id like to join together to make one panoramic shot..

can anyone help out LOL?

Cheers for a great day guys as always! Nice to meet some more of Sau and say G'day.

Congrats to Luke and Flick for the organisation for the day, top job!

But the heat, man was good hitting a pool afterwards.

Thanx

Hi Matty

If you dont manage to get the cheery picker, i climb trees for a living, so if we do a shoot where there are some big trees near by i can climb up and out onto any branch and take some wild photos. Just a thought

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
