vitz_n1
hi all, Just wanna know if i can use an rb20 flywheel on an rb25? I know the rb25 has a locating dowel which is what stops me from fitting it. I am trying to fit the flywheel off a turbo silver top rb20 onto a turbo rb25 just to have everything crystal clear. Now i have searched and found about 400 topics on this but nothing 100% clear. Can i or can i not drill the rb20 flywheel to fit? OR can i or can i not cut the locating dowel off the rb25? Any help is appreciated. Simon-S14
they are the same flywheel, you can even use an RB30E flywheel on there. clutches are all the same size also. Im also 99.9% sure that a r32 GTR flywheel will also fit. no need to redrill Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/202366-rb20-flywheel-on-and-rb25-please-help/#findComment-3597761 Share on other sites
Fixxxer
This may not always be true. When I upgraded my clutch and lightened flywheel in my 32GTST my mechanic said that the new lightened flywheel could not be used with the old clutch. IIRC, the new flywheel diameter was larger. Luckily I had the upgraded clutch ready to go in and all was sweet. I don't know if I have a different gearbox under the car or something??????
